Nothing of note to report...just venting a bit.

3 Weeks ago 2nite I started tearing down my front end... I'm not getting much closer to being done and it's starting to get frustrating with no end in sight...waiting on some parts and a whole bunch of work in front of me. I still don't really have a plan for my shocks, as I don't think they will work very well off road as is right now (at least in the rear). I hate going out into the garage every day and seeing the thing just sitting there with no progress over the past week or two. Luckily I don't have any immediate wheeling trips planned, but it seems that every time I do something like this, it's months before I get it back on the road. I know I'm slow, and I generally only get a couple hours a week to work on it, often at night after the kids goto bed, but damn, stuff like this shouldn't take months.

Back to your regularly scheduled programming...

I know how you feel. I have to work on mine. then get it ready to drive to work the next day. So no big long projects for me. Thats why my tube fenders are just sitting there for now.

I just had an epiphany... not really, but I think I'm just going to put the RE Rear Shocks back on, run them in the stock location until I'm ready to outboard... I can sell these Rancho's for about what I bought them for since they have never been run, maybe eat a few bucks for shipping, but otherwise not lose a bunch of $$$. I don't want to have to cut and weld once and then cut and weld again and buy longer shocks to outboard.

They are off and already for sale... see my Sig!

I'm going to reinstall my MonoTubes for now and try to get a weekend setup maybe later this summer where I can take the rig down south for a couple days and bribe/beg/pay Blaine to help me outboard...(and maybe have him help me tweak the steering and the brakes, etc, etc.) Could be an pricey trip, but knowing that it was done RIGHT would be worth it. Now I just need to figure out how to ship the kids and wife off for long 3 day weekend!

Do you even know his labor rates? He is pretty decent at $25/hour (That is the number he gave in the "Technical Rant about Shops" thread).

In lieu of anything productive to do, I weighed my 35x12.5-15 MTR/Kevlar's mounted on my Jeep Gambler rims and got right at 91lbs a wheel/tire...yikes!

I also reinstalled my RE Monotubes...

Did something at least semi-productive... at least as productive as removing junk off your rig can be...

Well, since I like keeping track of this stuff, the AtoZ rockers that I removed are 36lbs a side. Very good product and no problem at all with them BTW... would recommend them for sure, and hope to pass mine along to a local club member.

Gas Tank Skid: Kilby (62lbs) to Savvy (32bs) = -30lbs
Front Bumper: Hanson (77lbs) to Savvy (19lbs) = -58lbs
Corner Armor: None (0) to Savvy (26lbs) = +26lbs
Rockers: AtoZ (72lbs) to Savvy (???) = TBD (I'm sure this has been posted, I just cant find it)
Rear Bumper: Hanson (63lbs) to Savvy (???) = TBD
Rear Tire Carrier: Hanson (49lbs) to Savvy (???) = TBD

Rear bumper is 18-19lbs. I was the closest guess, and that was with just the pic of the frame tie-in kit. I think it was 18 a as the old design, and as 19 proposed production design.

Since they are not actually selling them yet, I'd say things could be subject to change... I was thinking it was in the 18-20lb range.
