Anyone have a guess for a fair asking price for (5) 33x12.5-15 Mickey Thompson MTZ's with about 9,000 miles on them? Even wear on all 5... Prices all over the board on Craigslist locally, and a couple guys in my club have asked what I wanted for them.

Probably $550-$700 would be pretty fair...obviously sell for more if you can get it.

Nice, that's a little more than I was thinking... I would give a break to the guys in my club at least as a first crack.

A local guy who is joining the club I am joining is getting my km2s with about 12k miles on them for $550...if they went on craigslist I would have put $700.

It's an "I scratch your back, you scratch mine" type of thing. I know when it comes down to it, and I need a tool or a hand...he'll be the first one in.

I think that is why you see stuff here on JF so cheap sometimes. It really makes deals much easier.

So... have you *****ed at Gerald yet about not being the first on the tub rail list?

Nah, I let it go... I've got bigger projects with the rig right now than worrying about tub rails...Depending on how long to get all the parts and then help with welding, I'm at least a couple/three weeks out from getting it rolling again. I'm sure Gerald will take care of me once I'm ready for em...

OK, this might be a stupid question, but that never stopped me from asking before.

I took the driver side shock off... it appears the "ends" of the Rancho Rear's are reverse from my RE Montubes.

On the RE, the Shock Body was up top with the BPE and rod was below mouted to the Axle. the Rancho's are just reverse...

So do I just mount the thing "upside" down (Can side down)? Or do I have to swap the bushings, or did I buy the wrong shocks?

***EDIT*** I double checked the part number and all the Installed Pics I see on Google (albeit not on TJ's) show Can side down, so I assume that's the way Rancho Intended

If I can't get a stupid stuck bolt out, how in gods name am I supposed to cut my frame to outboard???

It's kind of ugly at this point... I'm "trying" to get the weld nut off.... it's not going well!

On your shock question. It depends on the type of shock.

Mono Tube or emulsion, typically can down. The oil and nitrogen are not separated. If upside down the valve is typically not in the oil and does not work correctly.
Twin Tube, Remote Res, either way. The oil and nitrogen are separated by a bladder, so the valve is always in the oil.

I hate those upper shock mounts.

Why do I post here?
