Got my Axle Cleaned up, primed and first coat of paint on... probably do one more and call it good...

Got my Taillights wired up...I need some longer bolts and some nuts for inside the body...my light mounts were enlarged slightly for the ORO Litedots that I yanked off, so the stock sized bolts that Savvy Sends don't quite fit and aren't quite long enough for a nut on the back.

And started on the driver side of my Rockers... I cross threaded one of the nutserts when I went to reinstall everything (drilling done) and the nutsert started to spin... so I get to drop everything, extract the nutsert and try again...weeee...

Looking good. What paint did you use? It doesn't look like regular black, but it could just be the shot.

Hammered something or other, Hammertite or Rustoleum Hammered, had it left over from painting the Hanson Bumper that I sold, so I used what I had... A little shiny but it kind of looks powder coated when its dry (still wet in that pic there).

Ok, that is what I thought the paint was, but wasn't sure if it was just the shot. I used it on my rear bumper, but mine came out looking like a charcoal color because I did it too smooth. On the back where I laid it on thick, I got the results shown on the cap.

Thanks... I felt like I sat and did nothing for weeks and weeks waiting on all the stuff, Now I want to go 100 mph to get it all going, so I can get the rig rolling and read to wheel again!

One last update for today... I ground out the Spinning nutsert, replaced and got the entire Driver Side bolted up...1/2 done, probably no more today...

Look how nice it mates up with the Corner Armor...almost like it's a single piece!!!

Looks sooooo nice... By the way what wheel spacers are you using? any problems with them? I ask cause I have the 35s on my rig and they rub the AntiRock and the front lower control arms.

Thanks!

Those are Spidertrax 1.25" Spacers, no problem, run for 3 years or so (not a ton of miles, maybe 5 or 6K). My Gambler rims are 5.5" BS, so I have 4.25" Effective... I haven't run my 35's yet, but there is a little black spot on my lower long arm where 33x12.5's would touch at full turn. Not bad, but I can tell it happened. I'd like to have 3.75-4" BS, and probably what i'll get when I eventually upgrade to some beadlocks... no time soon with $$$ going out the door for everything else right now.

Wade

Yes it does fit "Well"... that's what great quality products do...

Discovered I had a little more "wave" in my tub in front of the door than I expected on both sides... either from the side flop, or the "impact" at Pismo a couple years ago. that tweaked both my fenders and smiled my Axle Tube and Currie tie rod!

Yea, my wheels are 4.25" BS. And with the short arms being thinner than the long arms I never had a rubbing issue...but now I do. Not sure what kind of money I want to spend to resolve it because I don't really care all that much.

But on another note those sliders look awesome

Ah... the advantages of 5"BS. Spacers would put me at 3.75" rather than 4.25". Not like I need to worry about that for a while.

Are you even going to bother worrying about it if you are planning on getting beadlocks?
