Try spraying some PB Blaster to loosen things up and give it a few minutes to work. If that still doesn't help maybe use heat on the outside so it will expand and apply some cold inside the sleeve so it will contract. If lube, heat/cold, and a BFH still don't get it I'm at a loss.

That'd be the next thing to try. Heat is your friend

I wish I'd have gone this direction. Drilling the bushings to fit the Currie bolts wasn't fun. Plus, I'd rather have a joint there instead. I'm watching this close to see how it comes out. Once we move and I get another DD, I'm pulling the axle to do this.

Got it.... Used an extension on the 1-1/4" Socktet and the 4 Lb Sledge and went to to town... After the first couple of whacks it came out.. I did apply a little heat, but not a ton...and I sprayed a little PB on both sides last night before I gave up.

Got this today too... after chatting briefly with MrBlaine, I need to work myself to lopping off the passanger side mount here, maybe later 2nite if I can get the cut off wheel mounted on my grinder (having some issues for some reason)...will take a peek in a bit.

And a few more...

Removing some paint, I probably took too much, but I like playing with the flapper disc 8-)

Test "fit" of the passenger side mount

And the driver side JJ... I have to finish pounding it in with the supplied "install tool", but my kids were going to bed, so I'll pound tomorrow.

I was eyeballing my rear shocks last night and really wondering if I should think about a lower shock shifter or new lower shock mount. They are both REALLY close to the spring perch now with the fatter tube on the bottom. The driver side is actually wedged against the hard brake line. I think LONG term I'd like to eventually outboard, and from reading the big long thread on it, the lower mount gets redone as well... I'm wondering if I should do that now and do the upper mount later... thoughts, suggestions?

Do it now before you destroy the tube on the shock. It'll happen and I think you know this.

So making the safe assumption that "fabbing" up my own lower mounts isn't within the realm of possibility, what are my options?

Have a chat with mudb8...he'll lay it all out for you.

Hell, I think he'll even send you out a template for the price of a stamp.

I've seen that... Maybe I'm looking at 2 different things (at least what I was on Humbolts thread) looked to drop the mount even lower than the stock one (which I'm not crazy about).

If I'm going to outboard eventually, it looks like I'd have to move the mount towards the week eventually anyhow. Without moving the mount over (which I don't know that I'm ready for, nor if the new Rancho Shocks I just bought would even support), I don't know that I'd really solve the problem with it hitting the the lower spring perch.
