Finally it's on the new axles! Still need to finish it up, but it feels good to make some real progress.

Thanks guys. I'm glad I went with the full widths and 37s over the EB axles and smaller tires. It looks awesome. I still need to fab up my steering, driveshafts, and shock towers, and install the new brake master cylinder. Then I will measure for shocks and brake lines. Once it's running and driving I'm going to build a new rear bumper and get rid of the nerf bars for some rockers and corner armor.

Drilled the taper out of the steering

Cut and welded the steering. It's 1.5 x .250 DOM with 3/4 heims from Ballistic.

I guess Ballistic builds their tube adapters to be MIG welded

Sandblasted:

Also made some shock tabs for the axles:

The nerfs came off and sold very quick for $50

My girlfriend painted the steering

And the new steering went on

Why did you put in a new master cyl?

Fantastic work especially the welding.

Corvette master cylinder will provide better braking since now it has dual piston calipers in the front and rear disc.

Thanks!

Thanks.

I picked up an extra set of stock YJ leafs Friday. I'm going to cut the eyes off the main leaf and use it as an add-a-leaf to my stockers on the Jeep now.
