Also started working on the front bumper. We decided to beef up the stock bumper, and add winch plate, stinger, and grille guard.

So far, notched the bumper for the 1" clevis mounts, welded the mounts to 1/4" plate and slid them through the bumper and welded it all out.

The winch plate is going to be welded to the bumper. It will wrap around both sides of the frame. I cut 4 sleeves, we're going to drill the frame and weld the sleeves in and through bolt the plate to the frame, along with the factory mounting bolts for the bumper on top and bottom.

Made up a temporary switch mount for the light bars. We're going to build a nice switch panel when we do the cage and mount it above the rear view mirror, so this will be until the cage is built.

Also I ordered a magnaflow muffler today. Getting tired of the flowmaster, ready for a cleaner sound.

Ok had a jeep filled weekend! Friday night we had the monthly club meet. We had 110 jeeps show up, and of course there was a RTI ramp competition. I ended up with the highest RTI score of everyone that attempted the ramp, which was 1172, just barely beating out a friends LJ that got an 1165. The club raffled off a bunch of cool stuff, including a X20 8 winch. Unfortunately I didn't win anything, but it was a great time!

Tomorrow I'll post all the wheelin pics from this weekend

Saturday we had a group of 12 jeeps from TJK head out to hardrock to do some wheelin. I had a great time out there, and found a few things I'd like to change on my rig.

Time for a small update. Since I broke the axle shaft, I decided it was time to freshen up the D44, which I had been putting off for some time. I got the replacement shaft, axle seals, needle bearings, and 4 new ball joints. While I had everything apart I took the knuckles to work and powdercoated them, and blasted and painted the caliper brackets. I also got a TJ exhaust, I'm going to switch to the TJ style since the YJ exhaust hangs down low.

When the axle broke it beat up the inside of the spindle some, I'm going to clean it up.

Wow

Love the Jeep Stone, if you ever get around to wanting to make another rear bumper I am definitely in. I live in Lutz.
