Got the winch line installed. Had a slight problem, the bolt they gave me to start the line wouldnt thread in the hole. Had to rummage around for another bolt. The one that came with my smittybuilt was too short. I also got my jeep rustproofed at Carwell (AKA Krown) today, that is why it looks greasy and there is stuff dripping on the street. I have to wait 4-5 days to wash it off. As u can see from these pics I also covered up with my winch power cables with that plastic covering stuff to protect and make it look a little better.
Got some updates. I was getting some DW so I upgraded some stuff on up front. Replaced lower control arms with stock replacements, upgraded front trackbar to JKS adjustable Track bar, installed Polyperformance Frame side track bar brace. Went with stock lower arms becasue they were cheap and I am ok with how jeep rides other than DW. My bushings in old arms looked worn. Here r pics:
I am installing the JKS front track bar bracket brace this week along with a teralex stabilizer and woods relocation bracket to get that up and out of the way. will post pics once installed.
Did it fix the problem? Had the same problem on the 4dr JK and fixed by loosening all the control arms, track bars, lift components ect while in air. Then setting it back on the ground with the bolts loose, wiggling the jeep so it "settles" then tightening everything back up.
Just got back from the 2010 Catskills Jeep Jamboree in Monticello NY. Had an awesome time. This was my first time to Catskills Jeep Jamboree. I chose the trails only option so I cannot comment about the food. The event is held as Mr. Willy's restaurant in Monticello NY. They allowed free camping on site and provided porta johns and primitive hot showers. Arrived at 12 noon on Thursday, set up my tent, disconnected my sway bars and aired down my tires. Registered at 5:00. The registration and trail signup went very smoothly and was well run.
I signed up for White lake Brook rated 6-8 on Saturday. The official description is below.
"This challenging trail is on the same parcel as Whispering Woods along Swinging Bridge Reservoir. This trail takes you over the Moscoe Road, which lead to the now flooded hamlet of Starlight that was sacrificed to make this electric producing body of water. 600 acres of wilderness allows this trail to offer a wide variety of terrain that includes some great hill climbs, river crossings, plenty of rock and plenty of mud if nature cooperates. (New section: "Bad Beaver" loop with tricky hill climb). Trail geared toward the more experienced Jeeper and guarantees great photos. 33" tires, rear positive locker and 3"-4" lift required."
The trail was a lot of fun and the guides were great. I took one bypass through a very hard section that even people with two lockers were having troubles.

For Day two I chose 12 Step Program rated 6-7. The official description is below.
12 Step wanders around the grounds of the former Capital Inn Resort that found it's fiery demise in the 1940's. This trail runs over a large tract of land between old mill towns, Thompsonville and Bridgeville. Nothing remains of this once grand resort except a huge foundation in the ground atop a hill near the former Newburgh Cochection Turnpike. Steep hills, ledges, high probability of swampy mud and the infamous 'stairs' await jeepers on this challenging trail. 33" tires and 3"-4" lift required.
One of the trail guides on day 2 took a lot of photos for me which was awesome. I highly recomend this trip. Awesome time.
