Drove my jeep for the first time recently. Been over a year since it has been out of garage. replaced front trackbar bushing and rear bent axle shaft with ASPGUY's assistance. My crippled asss has a much harder time working on the jeep since I broke my ankle last year, hard to get under jeep or work in crouched position. I probably will never be the same again after breaking my ankle. It sucks. Also got very weak after being confined to a recliner and unable to walk for almost 3 months last year.

First off nice rig! I apologize if you talked about this already but is it acceptable to run a 3.5 inch lift without doing anything with the driveshaft angle? I have only owned Tj and Yj and they were fine up to about a 4 inch lift before you had to do the slip yolk elimintaor?

no need for a slip yoke eliminator in a JK, u will need to buy a aftermarket driveshaft such as tom woods as the stock ones cannot take the angle, also need to buy rear upper control arms that are adjustable so you can adjust angle of driveshaft where it meets the pinion.

How long did you run your stock driveshaft before upgrading to tom woods? From your build it looks like you did the 3.25 inch lift and then bought the driveshaft later. Did you buy the control arms with the lift kit?

bought the drive shaft before I installed 3.5 inch lift, got it when I have RC lift. I bought JKS upper control arms when I bought DS to adjust pinion angle.

Well, after much debate and soul searching I traded my JK in on a 2004 TJ rubicon. Honestly I always liked Tjs better. Just couldnt pass up the incentives chrysler had in 2009. Plus, my wife couldnt drive it since its standard and it was impossible to get baby in back seat it was so jacked up. This jeep will get winch, front and rear bumpers, Budget boost, body lift and 33s and NO more. I overbuilt my JK and it was not practical anymore. If anyone is interested in buying it Class Cars in Olean NY will be listing it. No idea what they will list it for.
