nice jk though. would like to see those stupid plastic fender go but maybe that cuz I'm a cj guy.
not sure what you mean about buying a JK in the first place. All jeeps off the lot need work to make them as capable as I want them. If I bought a TJ I still would do a regear. Wouldnt have to swap driveshaft prob but JK that is needed. No big deal. I bought a JK because I can only have one vehicle so It has to be my DD and I wanted newer for that reason. As far as the plastic stock fenders, I like them better than anything they have aftermarket right now. If I had nore money IU would have bought a rubicon and got the better gearing and lockers but I could only afford the monthly payment for the X.

hey man, nice jk. i was wondering how much you spent on the front bumper + wench + guard, thing looks awesome. Also if you dont mind me asking, where did you get those wheels, how much were they? i have a white '10 rubi and they would look so nice with the rubi tires.

I got the bumber from Quadratec, it was about 700 for the guard and bumper. The winch was about 300 so it cost me a little over 1000 for everything. The wheels are 17 inch steel blackrock rims from quadratec. They were about 70 a piece.

I assume you are talking about the stock rubicon tires which are actually 32s. Yes, as long as the rim is 17 and tire is 17 it will fit. I would make sure and get 8 inch wide wheels and not 9incn wide. They will hold your tire on the rim better when aired down. If you go back a few pages in this thread you will see stock rubi tires on the rims since this was the last tire I was running before I upgraded.

Well, nothing super exciting. Installed teraflex bump stop extensions in the front a last week. they were easy to install. Now I need to figure out what to do in the back. Most extensions are like 3 inchs but I only got 2 1/4 inch of lift in the back. I also changed my oil yesterday. Anyway here r pics of the front.

I noticed my stock tire carrier was cracked/broken when i did a 5 tire rotation so I removed the carrier and put my tire in the back. This is not a permanent solution but I cannot afford a tire carrier and bumper right now. I dont think it looks that bad and its kind of nice bing able to see out the back. The lack of cargo space does suck though.

I got my synthetic winch line in the mail today along with my new Hawse fairlead. I pulled off the old winch line and fairlead and installed the new fairlead. I am getting my jeep rustproofed tomorrow so I will wait to put the new line on until this weekend.

Here is my winch line:
