Hey Doug,

It's Josh. We camped next to you on Ocracoke Island last week. The Jeeps going to come out nice with those wheels/tires. I'll be in touch soon about some LED lights.

I guess we are supposed to ask about the steerable driving lights and where we can get them. Feels more like an advertisement than a build

@ Matt.... Well.. It's kinda both of sorts... we are currently building this JK up to demo the Steerable LED Driving Lights - it will be going all across the US to show off the new Lighting System. So right now it's in the new build status and soon - hittin the trails and across country!

@ Josh - this is actually Matthew, I work with Doug - I'll et him know you hit him up here. He told me all about taking the JK to the beack - so what did you think of the system - pretty cool huh?? I've also got a '69 CJ I can't wait to get them on!

@ Savvy - Yeah, we took the pic at Jankel - Jeep Military Group just after rolling the Wheel/Tire up to the Jeep to see if we liked them. We're installing an AEV Lift now and will ave the Hutchinson Bead Locks and (Mickey Thompson run flats) installed after the lift is complete. I just wanted to see how she was gonna look withh the additions!

@ Mike - thanks - still trying to figure this whole forum thing out!

Ok, I'll bite...More info on these steerable lights...

I can't imagine those lights could have more output than the Rigid LED light bar...
http://www.rigidindustries.com/PhotoGallery.asp?ProductCode=RGDL50

...which is way out of my price range.

I know a guy with an H3 Alpha, 40" bars front and rear, 50" on both sides...thing can light up a stadium...

More info please?

Here's the simple truth - the Steerable Light System does NOT put out more light than a 40" Rigid Bar.

It just puts light where you need it. It provides more USEFUL light.

A very commonly overlooked problem amongst lighting manufacturers (Or people that buy Lights from overseas companies and sell them in the US) is that they think "more light is better"....

You and I probably think that would be beneficial too - heck, light that thing up...

But the truth of it is, our eyes are programmed to train to the area where there is the most light. We automatically focus where ever there is more light.

This isn't necesarily a good thing - especially when driving on trails...

So what we do with the Steerable System is provide light where you are actually supposed to be looking - where your Steering Wheel is guiding the Jeep.

We also combined patterns - offering an array of light rather than a couple "patterns" (Long range spots and short range floods) - our Lamps FILL the area in front of you - comparred to many others that just throw a lot of light out there....

I would challenge our LED Lights against anything on the market - not bragging, just letting you know the confidence I have in them...

There truly is such a thing as too much light!

Hopefully I didn't ramble on too much - PM me if you'd like some more information....

And thanks for the inquiry!
