How's I miss this thread? Great build. thanks for the pics and commentary. That is what you call an open checkbook build. The 315s look great.

so things upcomming:
In-seat Sub Box

i just try not to eat... or breath...

that list progresses to probably christmas time. the stroker has been put on the back burner indefinitely. it will happen, i donno when yet though.

for the time being, there are more important things at hand for pulling this jeep closer to the finish

I'm planning on doing the seat sub as well. I think you will be ok if you get the home store to cut the sheet in half. Should fit "in" the TJ then.

The HDs I go to have those vertical table saws. I pretty sure they'll rip any sheets you want for free.

Spyder,

I'm deciding this weekend what I'm going to do, but at this point I'm pretty sure I'm going to do a RE4.5/3.5 with 285s. Tom Woods, Spydertrax and keep my Moabs because I like them.

Did you ever run the 305s before you re-geared? Any idea what RPM 65 mph is now with the 4.88s? I may go with 305s, but the regear may eliminate that as an option for me.

The shock relocators are probably mandatory, but what about the ACAs? Is there a good chance I'll have caster problems that I can't fix without them, or some other problem?

Anything you'd do differently, other than buy a Black Rubi instead.

Oh, why s the TW DS listed as "free?" I'd like to find one of those deals.

That's an interesting point. Yup, I typo'ed 305s. I'm thinking about them as well. The 305/70s are actually cheaper then the 285/75s for some brands.

Got his build sheet with 315s on it in front of me. With 245s I'm turning around 2600 at 65 now in 6th. Never really thought to compare to the 5 speeds. I just don't want to kill my highway speeds with 35s but I don't want to get 33s and just upgrade to 35s in a year.

im at about 2900 at @ 70mph

35's with 4.11's was awful. seriously.

upper control arms are A LOT more necessary than shock relocaters. if you buy shocks like the RE monotubes you dont need them because they run can up and have enough clearance.

i couldnt buy a black car, id slit my wrists first. the scratches OH GOD THE SCRATCHES!

TW shaft was free because it was included in my suspension kit by RedRock4x4

i have, it was actually a 2004 rubicon. i cant really vouch for your math - they were quite different. though i donno if the 200 lbs of added rotating mass has anything to do with "unresponsiveness"
