Definitely looks better. When the flares werent trimmed before it looked like your springs were sagging in the rear lol.

wow im out for a day and miss so much.. lol

Will, Jeep looks really awesome i love LCOG jeeps. i think it looks way better. as far as the trimmed flares go, i gotta say you need a picture from farther back to get a better idea. and im wondering why the removal of the inner fender shield..?

honestly, it looks so much better, more stable, and well...just better.....the trimmed flares look good, but, i think you are gonna run into the same issue that one of our club members is having...but, i say wheel it, and see what happens

ram assist? screaming PS pump? missing trackbar studs? 3.23 gears? 4 cyl? self-clearencing rockers? purple drank? those are the only issues i can think of

i removed the inner fender to give a little more clearance, plus it was super annoying

I vote for purple drank being the biggest issue.

What did you use to cut the fender? I think that your's looks better than 95% that I have seen. Most guys use and knife or something and it just usually doesnt end up looking great.

i measured it out based on how jeep originally made the fender. the top side is longer than the actual sides. i removed 1.75" out of the sides, 2" out of the rounding part and 2.5" out of the upper part to make it more even and flowing. as far as cutting it. i used my Dewalt Jig saw with a super short blade and then finished the edges with a sharp square razor blade. if you look closely you can see imperfections in the straightness of the edge or its proportions but im not worrying about it too much. if it really starts bothering me i'll just sand it smooth

ive decided that my .75" spacers need to be reinstalled in the rear. that should be an easy enough project

im also going to pull my rear seat/sub box and make a new box. who needs rear footwells anyway? im going to lay the rest of my dynamat under the carpet, but not actually put the adhesive in. just to deaden the exhaust some.

I am sure you were already planning on it, but can you throw up some descriptions and pics when you are done? Half of my speakers, along with the sub are shot in the jeep (sound system is stock) and I am looking for ideas to overhaul everything, along with a sub box

yes to the rake

i cant see myself shipping the sub box as it weighs a metric ton and the box would be massive - i would expect shipping to be around 150 bucks by UPS Ground to NY. im going to pull the rear seat out all together and make a new box for the rear. actually, a box for 2 subs if i can make it right. drawing up the designs will be my wednesday project. i'll pick up the lumber on friday or saturday. IVE GOT JIG SAW FEVER
