Id love to use a 63mm Garrett Turbo, but fabrication to make it is simply not feasible, nor is the space for how id want to run it. knowing me i would mount it on the drivers side and build a completely new manifold and run a the intercooler in-front of my radiator and all that jazz.

the way i want to do it is just not feasible

Im stuck with a supercharger, which honestly, isnt that bad. especially being able to utilize Avenger's Twin Screw Auto Rotor design.

A blower is way out in the future as it is. I cant even afford to take on the motor alone right now. I spoke with Jason @ RedRock today. He told me there are some interesting things going on down at RedRock fab and they are currently coming up with flat fender plans for the JK and TJ's. I'll be getting a pair thanks

id hope for a test pair, but i believe that will be doubtful considering our extreme distance. I will be buying a pair when they get done. Jason told me to expect the TJ flare prototypes late spring. I believe they will be made to order, so their quality should be second to none.

Unfortunately no, not right now. If i find the money to put a super-charger on this sucker then i'll be able to find the money for the aluminum head. Until then though, the ol' cast iron will have to suffice.

Im going to get the remainder of the stroker kit from hesco less the camshaft and hopefully the piston rods. that should bring the price down. Im going to see if Crane or COMP will make me a billet camshaft instead of a forged one. They're a bit stronger and harder than the forged ones and are less likely for breakage. Ive read several stories of people having straight 6 cams snap on them because of how long they are.

I just need to figure out what kind of cam i want! no idea!

i was going to have the head ported and polished. I was not aware there was a head other than the Hesco aluminum that was better than mine.

yeah you can use the head off a older 4.0L which i have, that has bigger exhaust and intake ports. problem with the head is there is no tapped hole for the idler pulley. So i had to drill and tap the hole for my idler pulley. PITA!!!

no but im pretty sure cuz when i took my 4.0L out and looked at the exhaust ports they were alot smaller than the one on my stroker.

I looked into every corner and crevice of Hesco's website and there is nothing in there about oversized valves. I'll have to call bennie.

I too, was under the impression that the 4.0 was the HO

Well, this afternoon i decided that i was going to rip open my fog lights and remove the baffle that is on the inside. Im very pleased with the mod, the luminosity of the lights has doubled. I did a step by step for those who want to do this too if your curious about how it works and the results. As a disclaimer, those of you who come into my thread with intentions of saying how this is a stupid mod and i'll be blinding people and there is a reason they're called fog lights; You can leave now. The state of KY allows 4 lights in addition to the main headlamps to be in operation on vehicle with no specified beam pattern and a limit of 55watts. So now i have 2 driving lights with dispersion pattern lenses instead of 2 fog lights

so, let the show begin!

Start by undoing the 3 screws on the back of the fog light, its a T-20 torx

Opened

disconnect the ground from the shroud and pull back the retainer and remove the bulb and set aside

there are 3 metal tabs that are holding the retainer in place, bend them straight up and then you can remove the retainer

this is the blasted baffle

you can see parts of the shroud folded over onto the baffle to keep it in place. simply bend them back if you want a clean job, or hack the baffle off

end product

reconnect everything and reassemble the unit minus the baffle. here is comparatively. as you can tell, there isnt any excessive glare getting into the camera lense. the beam pattern HAS NOT CHANGED its just twice as bright

all lit up (IPF's + Fatboys + modded fogs)

i will try to get a picture tonight when its dark out for those of you who care!
