well, apparently the kid who tried to steal my driveshaft (Josh Vititoe) was arrested earlier this week and was taken to metro jail. where he apparently snuck in 400 pills and other contraband into the jail and got all the inmates high. hes been charged with 49 counts of wanton endangerment and drug trafficking. looks like he'll be in there for a long while.

Maybe you should get some Longfield axle shafts up front? Lifetime warranty!! Heh? Heh? I meant to suggest that earlier. I was looking into getting the 27 spline not the 30's. Either way, I think ALL of the Longfield axles have a lifetime warranty. Take a look if you haven't yet.

longfield no longer makes the CV axles for Jeeps for some reason, the company that took over says they have a "you break it we replace it" warranty but it doesnt say for how long

so either $1000 for CV's or $650 for chromo U-jointed shafts with a "you break it we replace it" warranty for 10 years and CTM joints with the same warranty, but lifetime.

im always one to say, its only money - but this is actually a very difficult decision for me. im not one for wasteful spending.

I wasn't aware they changed hands. In that case.... Screw that 1k.

I did see on the website that 30 spline chromos were like 550 beans. I thought they did still make Jeep axles, but I'm not sure.

Eff 985 bucks. That's a good chunk of change (or enough spare shafts to never worry about it either way).
