Spent about 14$ and made my own discos. My old type with clevis pin instead of bolt broke and allowed too much play.

Today I went past the point of no return and cut off the control arm brackets, so she's not moving til I'm done.

so i did a bunch of crap
finished the frame stiffeners
once i could get the heep set to ride height with the jack stands under the frame rails then this happened

followed by this........rolled the new axles under for suspension mock up( 3 link front/dub tri rear)

then got busy doing jerbs on the front x member and got her bolted in place

now i just have to weld some key gussets in, make the new tranny mount and weld in the link tabs. I cheated the crossmember rearward from stock for driveshaft clearance without notching and my heims will actually bolt up rearward of the crossmember and will end up about 40" long eye to eye

Last night I:
Beefed up the tranny mount .......

Then primed and painted it

Then primed the cross member as well and bolted it in for the 36th time to check clearances for some gussets.....you can see the 3rd link /lower link relationship here...

Then I welded up said gussets, I went polished off the rest of my 2nd 2lb spool this week so I said screw it and through a 10lb roll on...

whelp
got the front back on its own weight and my ride height was about an inch higher than i had the stands set for but that's tough to figure once the fenders are cut. i don't think 34s or 35s would be a problem for a set of wheeling tires...

i also drilled the knuckles out, put the track bar in and got the ruffstuff steering i got from stevied in. i transferred it to ms paint and my track bar and drag link are dang near perfect as far as plane so bump steer shouldn't be and issue

Now that I know it all works its time to take some measurements and pull it back apart to finish weld the axle....

Nice build man, love the custom arms you have setup now. Only question I have is are you planning to protect those front lowers somehow, I mean they look super beefy but I'd just be a little worried about them hanging down so low. Besides that nice setup man!
