ok so pic time again.....ill start with the broke d**k tech section....

sparky wire 101.....

first you need some supplys....

the new wires I just bought for the points distributor...

a few high quality HEI wires I never used that came with a chevy...with most of the boots removed

the boots for future use...

then a few basic hand tools..

ok now to make wires....the gm wire set had the same type of terminal on each end which was perfect for the distributor connection....using the boots set aside earlier I was able to get 2 new wires out of each of the donor wires...so heres how I did it....

wire cut to length with 90* boot replaced....

then using a nice sharp knife carefully cut back the insulation exposing the core...about 3/8"...

I wanted straight boots at plugs so I took the terminals from the points wireset...then folded the core over and recrimped the terminals with the wireset crimper from the tools pic...

i slid the plug boot on before i crimped on the terminal making it easier to complete the wire....

and walla a nice new set of HEI style wires which other wise would have cost me about 40$.....

ok so now with the boring stuff out of the way some poser pics...

ok so hope you enjoy...prolly should have spent some time looing for the vibration but i didn't...

as lame as it sounds, a 2"lift on my new/used non running 4wheeler, as well as a 1/8" aluminum skid/floorboard for it, and to make it run....and lots of hunting lots and lots....lol...I still have some minor work to do on the lil dj...and after xmas ill be back on the big one hard and heavy....our money is starting to get right again so it will just take a minute before the big expensive stuff starts showing up again...plus have to let the wife cool down about all the new hunting gear, and the fact I may soon be having to actually purchase a "FOR REAL" custom driveshaft, and or hard parts or the rear diff...anyways speaking of the wife...I need to go take her to lunch...I stole her ride for the day to do errands in...driving the old nag of a ford with the 390/4 barrel/4speed all thru town is a tedious chore...not to mention besides all the other things it desperately need the clutch is on its last legs as well...so 2010 caravan it is well for the day at least....

Thanks bro....and happy new year's to er-body's...sorry for the lack of action here...deer season is almost over and I'll be gettin back on the jeeps....turns out the heavy nasty vibes I had when going down the road was my not so properly built rear shaft....found a place in town to fix it for about $120...so the little dj has just been sitting...on a different note I pulled the tarp off of "Special" today and cleaned her out....and put the seats back in(not bolted)...lol...getting a list of all necessary items to make her function....cage or not I will be in the woods on my b-day...even if I have to run 2wheel fwd....been there done it before....rode the trails in fwd only in one of my Cherokees for about 2 months once...it's amazing how much you can go thru...well I guess that's about it for now.....

well getting all geared up(literally)...will be ordering the spool, ring and pinion, and install kit for the 60 in the big dj here later his week....already have the gears and everything for the 44......and possibly 10 20'ft long sticks of 1-3/4" tubing for cage/exo not sure which way i'm going yet....and stuff for rear winch bumper...after that all I need is some finish welding, finishing out the braking system, redesigning the power pump steering bracket, and I should be on my way to infict some serious whoop arse on some unsuspecting truck shredding holes...lol

I guess it was alright I put 4 in the freezer....however on the second to the last day (using the muzzle loader) I flat out missed 2 different does at less than 60 yrds...I know it wasn't the guns fault...id say all in all I spent about 200 man hours and about the same in fuel....plus an additional 600+ in new equip...so this year they were some expensive deer..but am going to help a handicapped buddy develop his property and build him a hoist activated tree stand and shooting house with ramp...and should have a better season next year....still no buck under my belt yet but maybe soon...llol
