Well so since the Cherokee axles are a total of 6" wider than the originas plus I was wanting to run wider than 9" tires the doors once again have to go...however I like the look of the doors them selves just not in a sliding manor....am working out a way to modify both doors and openings so doors fit like normal doors or at least close....the next question is regular removal doors or lambo or gull wing doors...I think I could very easily make them gull wing and stll be removed using heavy gauge hinges with pin replaced with grade 9 hardware and a couple of lift struts off of a Cherokee rear hatch...any ideas on this??? Come on I know you wanna!!!...lol

Aww why not....lol...two hinges at the top up under the drip rail a latch at the floor and two liftstruts one on each side and i wouldn't have too modify anything cept for drilling four holes to bolt the lift balls into.....could still even use factory rubber....and I could still make a set of tube doors for summer...just place the hinges for tube doors a little forward...granted would always have to walk from the back of the parking lot when going to Wal-Mart...lol...

So before anyone asks...lol...I weld mostly with fluxcore...why you may ask...well cuz I'm lazy and most of the material I use is contaminated...I e. rust mud dust moisture...and mig or rig wants your metal to be spotless and shiny...in other words I look at fluxcore as stick on a spool...I have full-size bottles and a tig and my miller loves gas but as I said I mostly run the fluxcore...not to mention when you only got enuff spare change for a pound..your out o luck with the other stuff...

That and you weld outside, and the gas gets blown off the weld with mig if there's a breeze- fluxcore lets you weld in breezy conditions.

So- surprised you can weld sheet metal w the fluxcore, what diameter wire are you using? Fluxcore blows through easier than mig
