That is my favorite color. I'm already feeling guilty for wanting to steal some of those colors you had on the other one, diff cover, spring plates, etc. :P

I like the green too!
Go ahead man, and steal whatever ideas you want. It's not like I'm all too original either. Besides, the highest compliment is imitation.
Besides, I'll probably end up doing the WHOLE Jeep in that color this time haha.

And I'll put together my build map sometime this weekend. I've been struggling with a few choices and like everything in the Jeep world, the snowball just keeps growing bigger...

I've been scopin out that monsta liner too. I'm torn between jungle love, white, and the desert sand.

If I did it, I'll go 100% one color body/hardtop if I had one. I'm a huge fan of body match. Black windows, bumpers, cloak flares, and anything below the body. But, Corners, cloaks and louvers all one blended with the body also for the sleeper stock appearance.

I agree. Since I'm going a little "sleeper" with my build for right now, I'll be painting it all one color, including any armor and leaving the flares, sliders, bumpers black. I think yours would look pretty killer in Jungle Love or Desert Sand! The Sand would go especially well with your interior!

On a related note, I was able to hunt down a couple pics of some YJs done up in Predator. I like it! It'll be bright and flashy, which is cool since my Jeep will be on the smallish side of things thins round.



I really wanted to go predator last time, but I ended up having the hair brained (and awesome!) idea to do that Warbird paint job. So I figure this time, make it a mean, green motha!

Sounds like a stellar plan. That was my original lift/tire size plan, but then I was conviced through reading that 4" was the way to go. I'm wishing I went a bit lower like the 2.5" BDS or OME, still on 35s tho with some highlining. The rocks here are unforgiving and most places needing at least a 35 to get through although I was able to do most on my 33s and some skinny pedal.

Aluminum is also unforgiving. First collision with a rock or tree and it's dented and marred for good. I saw in MO2500s thread, he dented his on the first bump on a tree. That was my influence on the steel. Although it does add a bit of undesired weight, the longevity of $$ spent may be worth the little additional weight.

Not trying to convince you in anyway, just sharing my thought processes as my build evolved with similar aspirations of weight vs power.

I love the flat skid idea, however im unsure how well aluminum will hold up. If you hit yours as much as I hit mine it would end up looking like a wet taco.
Also wondering on benefits of true trac (ls) vs the built in LSD on a D2 coded 8.8. is it that much better and worth the extra few hundred clams?
I like the bastard sized 32's idea, just to match the bastard that the YJ is. I think you need to name this thing bastard child or some such thing. :P
