Well I suppose I should get un-lazy and start a thread. Not much to report right now since I'm broke as can be! Got most of my build mapped out at this point, just waiting for the money to get rolling!
I'll change this first post to a Title Page (index) later on as things progress. I promise I'll be more organized and do better about writing "write-ups" on all the mods I do. Hopefully save some people the headaches I know I'm going to have myself!
Wheeled it today! Time for some pics.
Probably one of my all time favorite days out this year. It was just plain fun! Another great day out with EXILED OFFROAD. I got a good group of people together...
That's me rocking the red Vans lol. We had planned on running a different trail today so I wasn't expecting Snow!!!

I wish you would have made it. Just not the same without you and Vic there. I can't tell you how fun it was though. We need to run that again before it gets too snowy/icy and impassible. Cheers
Thanks bro! I love snow wheeling. I've been looking forward to it since the day I had to put the top and doors back on lol. It was a pleasant surprise today!
Thanks.
It was really fun. Maybe my favorite day of the year as far as wheeling is concerned. Nothing hard or technical, but man, was it pretty!
The snow was totally unexpected, but a welcome surprise! And yeah, I have fun showing the big kids in their JKs what a man Jeep can do, even in stock form!
Anyways, not much to report. Ordered a few little goodies for it, nothing major. And yesterday I changed the t-stat. Mine was stuck open and the poor squirrels were freezing their butts off!
I am struggling to find an esthetic/visual direction to take this build in. After the radness that was my Warbird, I'm not sure what to do to make it uniquely Sparrows. Right now I'm torn between Monstalining the whole thing in loudass "Predator" (which will look killer with black armor/cloaks,) or keeping it white, doing the cage, inside the tub, and all my accents in Predator, and keeping my armor raw metal for a more "industrial" look.
The rest of my build is pretty much mapped out, but the "look" is something I'm struggling with. Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome.
It's funny, you of all people say that, cause I have these photoshop mock ups I had done about a week ago to give me a rough idea of the look... Lmao! I think I may paint the rear armor green too? And just do the flares and sliders black? Or do it up just like that... Cheers

That is my favorite color. I'm already feeling guilty for wanting to steal some of those colors you had on the other one, diff cover, spring plates, etc.

Lets hear the battle plan that you have layed out :rtft: Or did I miss it somewhere?
I like the green too!
Go ahead man, and steal whatever ideas you want. It's not like I'm all too original either. Besides, the highest compliment is imitation. :shhh::laugh:
Besides, I'll probably end up doing the WHOLE Jeep in that color this time haha.
And I'll put together my build map sometime this weekend. I've been struggling with a few choices and like everything in the Jeep world, the snowball just keeps growing bigger...
If I did it, I'll go 100% one color body/hardtop if I had one. I'm a huge fan of body match. Black windows, bumpers, cloak flares, and anything below the body. But, Corners, cloaks and louvers all one blended with the body also for the sleeper stock appearance.
Arctic White is just so clean looking I love it. jungle love will keep the rio grande original theme alive tho.
I agree. Since I'm going a little "sleeper" with my build for right now, I'll be painting it all one color, including any armor and leaving the flares, sliders, bumpers black. I think yours would look pretty killer in Jungle Love or Desert Sand! The Sand would go especially well with your interior!
On a related note, I was able to hunt down a couple pics of some YJs done up in Predator. I like it! It'll be bright and flashy, which is cool since my Jeep will be on the smallish side of things thins round.
I really wanted to go predator last time, but I ended up having the hair brained (and awesome!) idea to do that Warbird paint job. So I figure this time, make it a mean, green motha!
Cheers
