Good Looking Jeep! Don't Worry About The Mods. I Am In The Same Boat. I Just Add Something When I Can. I Plan On Having My Jeep For A Long Time So No Rush. The Bottom Line Is That It's A Jeep And That Is All That Matters!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm located in Pennington, NJ. If you're unfamiliar with where that's it, it's about 10 miles from Trenton and 5 miles from Princeton.

My Jeep is a 1989, originally white, YJ with a 2.5L four banger and a 5 speed manual transmission. It doesn't have a lift on it yet and I didn't plan on doing that for a while, so I bought some TJ Grizzly rims to replace the clearcoat-peeling aftermarket rims that were on the Jeep when I first bought it. The sidebars are made my Manik and I ordered them through Quadratec.com I haven't done too many exterior mods except for the paintjob, rims, side bars, and Bestop Sunrider, but I've completely redone the entire inside. I gutted the whole car and removed the body from the frame when I took it to get painted so I could paint the frame too. I had a local welding shop cut out two rusts spots on the body and replace them with new, rust-proof (hopefully) panels. I then got the car painted a Solar Yellow (same color as the new TJs) and then the fun began. Since the interior was originally gray and yellow and gray don't go together too well, I had the local auto body shop paint all of the interior stuff, like the dash, door panels, and seats. Much to my surprise, they came out extremely well. You wouldn't be able to tell that they were painted because they look so much like the originals. The paint on the seats could not hold up as well as it was constantly being sat on and the auto body place told me from the start that this wouldn't work. I said to just go ahead and do it anyway and that I would eventually get seat covers. And that I did. I bought custom fit Wet Okole seat covers for both back and front. They have a black outside with a yellow insert. Since I'm running out of time, I'll make the rest of the mods quick. JVC KH-SH99 head unit, Kenwood 300 watt amp, Alpine 200 Watt Amp, 3 10 inch Pioneer subs, two kenwood 6X9's, two Boston 4X6's, black roll bar cover, grant steering wheel and shift knob, hardtop, spare tire cover, huge steelhorse center console, black carpeting, arm rests for steel doors, and there's more. I can't think of it all off of the top of my head and I'm extremely late for school now. e-mail me if you want some pictures...

Alheim, About the caps? Its a stupid thing here at work. That's the way everthing is required to be typed. I forget i am doing it. Ha Ha I liked to have never got used to it. Where i used to work everything had to be in all caps.

I remembered some more things that I've done to this car.....

New Factory style fender flares, TJ mirrors, new seatbelts, bumper caps, new windshield, alternator, air cleaner box, transfer case, front springs, and replaced the entire steering assembly (it was the old jeep shimmy at 55 mph). Decided to replace the whole front end while I was replacing the steering as one of the front springs was cracked =(

I think that's about it for my jeep. The little 4 banger runs extremely well, has even compression all down the line, and burns not an ounce of oil. The only known problems with my car are a leaky rear seal on the transmission and a leaky valve cover seal. The left hand turn signal doesn't click off, but the righ does. The cable to switch from hot to cold doesn't work but there is an easily accessible lever underneath the glove box. Now that I've given you all of the information about my Jeep, are you interested in buying it? Because I'm trying to sell it! =)

Please stop calling her a "car", it's a Jeep, or a rig, or your baby but NEVER a car.
