OK, it's coming along a lot slower than I thought it would… I only have little bits of time here and there…

Ironically, Mike, I have been working… the last couple pieces to the puzzle:

And painted...

All I need to do is weld up the center link, and I'll do that when I'm ready to mount it all together.

I started working on the gears and decided I surely don't have enough time tonight. I'm also going to look around and see if I can find someone to do the gears for a couple hundred bucks. I just want this thing done!!!

I don't have the time!!! Got a new assignment at work, plus juggling the old ones, plus baseball... Life is good, but jeep is low on the priority list...

Okay I'm putting you on the guilt trip. Jeep on the low end of the list. What letting work interfere with fun???? Is that the way it works....we are supposed to be resonsible adults and get our priorities straight?

Nothing to show for now. Took the 8.8 in to the shop to get gears and a locker put in! Still trying to decide what I want to do about the front. I want to put a locker in it, but looking to the future, I want to go to 35's. I am thinking HP30, but the guy at the shop suggested 44… I may just do the HP30 and try to be easy on it, I won't go to 35's for probably a year. I don't know…

Weel, today I helped my brother-in-law take the hard top off and put the new soft top on…

Thought it may be a pain, but went on just as easy as my soft top. Was worried we may have to put on brackets, but he had the stock ones and they worked.

Anyhoooo, it was fun to mess with a Jeep.

I picked up the TJ and the 8.8 tonight, right before I had to go to work… first thing the guys shows me is this…

He said that when he opened up the dana 30, the carrier was "just flopping in there." He didn't know how it didn't shred and seize on me. He thought it had been like that for a while since it appeared to be worn smooth like it had been spinning past each other for a while. Anyway, the E-Lockers are in along with the 4.88's. Pics in the morning, too tired to take them now, but wanted to post a pic of that carrier.

Now I am just waiting on some brake lines and cables to get here so I can put this thing together!!! Hopefully the end of the week.

Alrighty then… here it goes…

everyone has seen a dana 30 before, and there isn't much to see, but I'm excited so…

Here is the locker in the 8.8… it looks solid, more-so than the stock carrier!!!

And the pile of goodies that need to go back on!!! I'm just waiting on reman calipers, brake lines and e-brake cables. I also have replacement bushings for the 3 link upper control arm. I figured I might as well replace those too while I'm taking everything apart!!!

SO STOKED!!! Can't wait to start!!! Maybe tomorrow… family time today…
