Didn't lower the skid… didn't have any vibes before the trip, though...

... I guess I'm gonna have to fix that too…….

Well, Third, going with what you said, I decided to check to see if that would help. I went to OSH and bought some 1" nuts for spacers (seamed the cheapest option), and some bolts… the trip around the block was a lot better, problem is, now with a 1.25 body lift and about 1" TC drop, shifting into 2/4/6/r is real close… I guess the like I said before, the SYE and driveshaft are really in order!!!

... I guess I'm gonna have to fix that too…….

OK, so first thing is first, getting rid of all that body roll without having my front sway bar attached…

I never understood the ball joint idea at this link…

Still saving for the SYE and driveshaft… and rear…….

... I guess I'm gonna have to fix that too…….

OK, I have been bored and low on play funds, so I figure I'd mess with what I have…

I have most of the parts to swap in my CJ tailgate, and build my tire carrier, so I figured why not. I started with this…

I had sanded it down previously to check the real damage, and it wasn't horrible, so today, I cut out some rot, welded in a piece of angle where the hinge plate bolts to it, and rosette welded it in for strength. I treated the rust then put the first coat of etch primer on it. I have a few spots to clean up with filler, but it won't be bad.

Don't know when I'm gonna get more time to finish this, hopefully next week… I hate starting something and not have the time to finish it, but I was dieting to do something!!!

... I guess I'm gonna have to fix that too…….

Thanks Jim!!! So the first coat went on real well, so I think I got a little over zealous and didn't wait long enough or used too much thinner on the second coat, that I started to get runs. So I have a lot of clean up to take care of… I'm not too concerned, it's just the tailgate, right???

... I guess I'm gonna have to fix that too…….

Looks good from here Bill! Body shop friend of mine says a razor blade is the way to get rid of the runs.

Heya Mike, the Jeep will definately be ready for next year!!! I'll hopefully have an 8.8 or Dana 60 by then with some sort of locker in it.

I'm ready for a hollister run... I might get stuck without lockers, but there are some fun trails that aren't too difficult.

... I guess I'm gonna have to fix that too…….
