Thanks Matt!!! I'm hoping the drive shaft will be good... It seemed a little short when I converted to the 8.8. When I adjust the control arms I plan to extend to full droop to see if it's still good. I'll prolly get to that Monday. Still have some exhaust work to do, had to cut the hanger. Not as drastic a change as I expected, I guess the real test will be on the rocks!

... I guess I'm gonna have to fix that too…….

And it begins, NO TURNING BACK!!

And here is the stumbling block…

I moved the upper back about a half an inch, but I still had to bring the lowers in and they are as short as they can be… the upper is such a pita to move!!!!!

... I guess I'm gonna have to fix that too…….

Maybe this is a dumb question, but what'd you do about the rear TB? I don't know what rear suspension you have and it's been a while since I've read through your build...

Edit: it looks like a wishbone 3link to me. Is that right?

yeah, Full Traction "3 link upper"… I don't hate it, but this solidifies that my next step will be triangulated 4 link!!!

Annnnndddd…

Thank goodness, I went and checked the mail before I started to adjust the upper again…

... I guess I'm gonna have to fix that too…….

The MML was a lot easier than I expected... I did a lot of reading and read horror stories... All in all it took about 45 minutes.

And the end result:

Vibes are better but they are still there at highway speeds... I guess I have some more adjusting to do.

... I guess I'm gonna have to fix that too…….

Mike, You know it... I need a TJ with 35's to keep up with a CJ on 32's!!!!! Jim, Only thing I will get rid of this for now is a 4-door Rubicon... and since I have one (kind of), I'm never geting rid of this thing!!! The kids can have this, I'll take momma's Rubi and put 37s on it...

Well, I welded up the exhaust bracket last night... that helped with some of the sounds, but I still have a growl... I'm gonna try and drop the skid and see if it is just driveline related...

... I guess I'm gonna have to fix that too…….

And now death wobble has set in........

I checked the steering... Is it bad when the tre's click???

On a better note, I used some washers to drop the skid and vibes got better... So I got to find time to adjust the control arms... That freakin upper is a pita to adjust........

... I guess I'm gonna have to fix that too…….

Soooo close, yet so far away...

Forgot I have a rugged ridge tie rod... Ordered stock replacement parts, so now I have to no back and get tie rod ends for it... All I know is 7/8" standard taper... Hope they will be able to help me figure it out........

... I guess I'm gonna have to fix that too…….

Wellllllllllllllll, there are no replacements for the rh tie rod end that rugged ridge uses...

I previously noticed that my dana 30 cover was getting dinged. I didn't realize how bad until I went to replace the cover...

The bottom two bolts were a little shaved, almost didn't get the one off. I had to grind the bottom edge flat. Anyway... Here is the replacement.

I don't know why, but I kind if wanted to match the rear.

Anyway, all back together, I guess if I'm going to make it to the rubicon tomorrow, I'm gonna have to find a trailer...

Had a great day on the Rubicon Tuesday!!! Mvigo lead the way on a spectacular trip. Didn't take many photos... Technically, I have over 250--my 7 year old had the camera... I took a few, here are some of the highlights...

Well, got a trailer... and a big thanks to Mvigo who hosted me and my boys Monday night!

So I count that some of my rattle had to do with my transfer case so I dropped my skid and found this:

I don't think that is normal... I found some washers that fit that seamed to make it all snug... It didn't really help, still have a weird grinding that is associated with driveline rpm... Aaaaarggghhh!!!

Good news is that I think I found the source of my DW-track bar... It seems the rod end on it is not tight. I tried replacing it with another I had, it is better now, but not great...

... I guess I'm gonna have to fix that too…….
