You're sure gonna have a good rig to take wheeling when you get done Bill. With the lockers you might be able to slack off on the skinny pedal a little this time. I've heard about the last trip.

Shoot, I go on vacation in two weeks, I gotta get it done this week. I'm thinking about taking Thursday off of work and spending the entire day on it, but work is crazy right now!!!

Also got a buddy who asked me to help replace his alternator tomorrow... Normally no biggy, but it's a dodge caliber, and the is on the bottom of the engine, right next to the passenger side wheel... It took us three hours the last time we did it. He is not mechanically inclined and doesn't have a lot of money to throw it the stupid car (dealer wants $400).

Anyway, it will be ready!!!

Yeah Jim, I wonder if the carrier broke from the last trip (a year ago)... I kind of bounced the front end and tore the ball joints on the sway bar links... I'm hoping to crawl a little more this time!!!! The 4.88's will help that too!!! Although, if I had a Currie high 9 up front, I think I'd be unstoppable... Know anyone willing to donate one???

... I guess I'm gonna have to fix that too…….

Yeah, Zjones, it's been a mess since I started tearing this thing apart… after I sold the CJ, I cleaned it out real good, but now I got a bunch of crap that my wife won't throw away to organize. I emptied a box of parts today, was stoked about that!!! Once this thing goes under the Jeep, I'll be able to get rid of a bunch of other boxes of crap!

... I guess I'm gonna have to fix that too…….

Well, it's done... Well, drivable. I need to figure out why the e-brake won't work, and put on the sway bar. Took it for a ride... Dang it's got some get up and go... Well, I took it easy on the gears, but you can feel the difference!!! No pics since I only finished about an hour ago (it's dark!!!).

Mike, I'm the guy that puts something down right next to himself and then can't find it... I wish I were more organized. I am getting better with small projects, but big projects like this just keep my brain thinking about the next three steps and I don't slow down to organize.

Thanks Kyle!!!

... I guess I'm gonna have to fix that too…….

E-brake adjusted, everything torqued… and it's better than new!!!

So a couple of notes on the 8.8. I needed to run spacers because my wheels hit the calipers when I put them on. And because of the way I located the brake lines, I needed to flip the rear shocks. Not sure if RE shocks need to be right side up or not, they aren't giving me any problems right now. I plan to go to Bilstein's eventually anyway. I have a bit of vibe at highway speed, so eventually I'll have to adjust my lower control arms, but it's fine for now. The 4.88's are a bit steep for the 6 speed and 33's, so I guess I'm gonna have to go with 35's next! (That was the plan anyway…….)

... I guess I'm gonna have to fix that too…….
