well the replacement sensors did not work. I was able to drive it around the block a few times before it started stalling on me though, each time I was able to restart it and idle it home. I think my next move is going to be get it on the trailer and get the exhaust put on and order a v8 conversion radiator since its still peaking at 220* before it drops in temp and Im running no fenders and its -12 below outside. then I will go from there.

Did you reset the computer after installing the sensors?

And now a brief video from our sponsors

Boy this thread is stale
After much research yesterday I kept thinking my stalling problem seems to occur when its in closed loop. So then I start looking for sensors that affect the injectors during closed loop. I found a thread written by Zeajay called "12 things to do when your zj stalls" he mentions that in "closed loop" the 02 and cam sensor are telling the injectors when to fire soooo by disconnecting the
O2 and cam sensor (aka dist. pickup coil) I was able to drive the piss out of my jeep last night all over the neighborhood WOT and all. Im sure Ive pissed a few neighbors off by now this week every night since Saturday running this thing, but now I think I've made progress. I picked up an new cam sensor last night in hopes to put this whole messy stalling business behind us.

So the plan is to take it to the exhaust shop on Saturday when my wife can follow me in to make sure I make it then I can order me a radiator cause even at -20 below yesterday driving around my neighborhood it was still climbing into the 220+ temps before it started to drop. I knew my current radiator was shot but I wanted to get it hooked up to see how well this baby runs.

Any news? still just waiting to take it to the exhaust shop tomorrow? What muffler and size pipe are you going with? I just went with a cheaper Flowpro muffler and 2.5" pipe.

So far so good. I dont want to drive it anymore, dont want to burn a valve. I will get it towed to the exhaust shop next week sometime since I got free towing with my insurance. I will probably order my radiator this weekend I'm going to reuse my flowmaster 40 series with 2.5" pipe and for now dump it before the rear axle, hopefully the drone isnt too annoying.
I will also spend some time cleaning up some things like a mount to tie the grill into the rad support. Its just been too cold to work on it lately. Thanks for keeping tabs on me I can't wait to wheel this thing.

Hope your CPS and exhaust do the trick! You were thinking of going with a Champion radiator? I think they are made in China. Check out Superior Radiator, built in the USA! Mine was $340 shipped, yours would be cheaper since you don't need a trans cooler.

The power is awesome out wheelin. You will find that you don't need 4lo as often

I can't wait!! The champion radiator I'm looking at claims made in the usa so hopefully it works it has a lifetime guarantee and gaurantee to cool my V8. We shall see I will look into superior and see what their cost is for without a trans cooler.

Heck yeah man!! Your Jeep is coming along quick!

So this might sound pretty generic but how and where did you begin with wiring it up?

I really was lost until I downloaded the schematics from jeepslimited.com if you join then you can download the whole service manual from there for free which was the biggest help. Since you got yours from a Durango I dont know how it will work but it should be almost identical. Then I started by removing what I knew I didnt need then went from there. It really wasn't all that bad I have about 10 hours into the wire harness alone, which seems like a lot but I knew nothing going into this other than the basics of how it works.
I only needed three wires from my yj harness to make this work. Key on, starter, and accessories. Then I hooked up my gauges. I do need a different tach as Im sure you will too since our system is older and wont read the buffered signal from the pcm.
I will gladly help you with any questions along the way if you need since its still all fresh in my head. Getting power to the pdc is crucial to the system. Once I powered that up I was able to get most everything lined up. I had lots help from some friends and a very understanding wife. hopefully moparfreak can lend a hand with yours he is very knowledgeable. He helped me sort some things out through some pm's and his thread I read and re-read numerous times.
