Tear down of the front clip went real smooth, fluids drained, most electrical disconnected and labeled.

Hopefully I can sneak out tonight and finish pulling the motor got family coming into town today so progress might be slow but I may be able to talk my brother-in-law into lending a hand, he loves doing this stuff to. He just finished building his 1 ton diesel blazer on 35's

Everything is tagged labeled and marked its funny how simple the electrical is on this motor. Literally three wires to run I'm gonna miss that. Lol

Uh oh. Sheet just got real!
I'm excited for you man! I know it's been a lot of planning, talking, reading, and parts hoarding for you up till now. Now it's really happening. I bet that feels great!

I can't wait to do my own swap soonish...

Oh, are you thinking about making it to the Moab get together in the spring? You're definitely one of the guys I'd love to meet and to check out your Jeep!

Cheers

Thanks dude Its nice to finally see my work and research come together, I'm surprised I've been so patient this whole time.
I would really love to make the moab trip if its in the cards this year we want to go when my wife and kids have spring break. Last year I did the trip without my family and I really want to show them how beautiful it is. My wife hates off-camber stuff so she wont be riding along. Before my next trip I want a real quality cage setup so I wont be so afraid of trying more daring stuff, thats what held me back last trip. If I cant make the trip I know I will be in Nampa sometime this summer for my wifes grandpas 80th birthday bash so if we dont see each other in moab I will definitely get in touch with you then.

Got my manifolds all painted up and valve covers. Im not so sure I like the valve covers it was supposed to be a gunmetal grey but this is more of a pewter. I did find a nice set of old school aluminum edlebrock valve covers for it for $40 bones, so I just may shell out the cash for those cause I really dont like this paint.

Now is where things get exciting. I hope yours doesn't take as long as mine. I am about 200 days behind schedule on my build. Good luck with your wiring, it is a little intimidating at first but once you get going it isn't too bad. At least on the 5.2 side. The FSM I have for my 95 GC 5.2 is extremely detailed and the written parts at the beginning of the electrical sections are very helpful. I wish the info on theYJ side was as detailed.

Yea I'm a little nervous for it but, excited at the same time. The only worry I have is will the dodge truck computer work with the grand cherokee wire harness cause the schematics I printed off the internet show the pinouts in different locations??? But maybe I'm missing something.
