I think the lack of social skills thing is a requirement in owning a yard. The biggest problem I have is that vehicles in most of the yards around me only have ones older than late 80's. So finding fuel injection parts are hard to come by. I stopped in a Yard up north of me and asked for a '92 dodge ram 1500 and he said " We dont have anything that new". He looked at me Like I was asking for a golden goose that ****s gold.
WTF thats 20yrs old seriously get out more often. Now if I was building a rat rod then I would feel like I have hit the jackpot.

Quick question, Have you come across anything about the front driveline being to short with the swap. Im still fitting mine and my front driveline is about 1"1/2 to short.... I cant bring my engine up anymore to compensate for it either.

Huh thats weird the location of your trans and transfer case it should not change it should bolt right into your trans mount and in the factory location. Are you setting it in there with your trans mount bolted up?

Yep its all attached and the rear driveline is good to go but the front isn't long enough now. the only thing I can think of is that the bell hosing is a little longer and that made the front driveline to short.... IDK

Unpossible that bellhousing wont change anything if your rear is fine the front will be too. Your probably just over thinking it, maybe the shaft collapsed all the way in and now it wont slide out? Dont worry it should be fine as long as the trans is bolted up in the factory location.

Well it was pretty slim pickens at the yard today. The wind was bad so I didnt spend to much time digging around. I found a dodge ram with a 318 that had the front clip removed making it super easy to get to the exhaust manifolds so I unbolted them real quick. Then I found a '92 ram with the MPI 5.2 it was crunched at the fender were the computer mounts so I took a gamble and unbolted the computer and threw everything in the yard truck and went back to their office and on the way back found a pretty much unmolested '93 Cherokee with the 5.2. So now I have found a source for some sensors and a new power steering pump reservoir (since the one I have was destroyed when the motor was pulled). All in all it was a good day.
I checked in at their office and he said $50 for the manifolds and $20 for the computer, "that we dont know if it works". I told him I will give you $50 for it all and he said ok. I am coming back next week to get the exhaust y pipe for hooking up the manifolds to my existing yj exhaust.

If those are the non-smog manifolds, good find/buy. They are getting harder and harder to find.

Yeah he had a pile of early 80's late 70's ram trucks with with a small block in it, even a few with long tube headers. These manifolds have provisions for an egr port out of an '82 they were the easiest to get to so I snagged them. They will work great just weigh a ton.

My heads are '68's and the newer smog manifolds just don't work, I hope I'm done breaking them, as the last one I bought was the last one the local yard had. I guess the next time I break one I need to see if I can fit a block huger shorty header in it's place.

Finally sold my spare 4.0 and 4.2 motors they both needed rebuilt so I made the guy a deal and he took them both for $150 now I got some more cash to throw at my swap. The best part is I got both for free. Things are looking up. So much room in my shop now. Ahhh!!
