Subscribed. Just finished reading your thread ...nice work all the way through.

I'm glad it's up and running again. It's always the little stuff that seems to eat up all the time.

I know what you mean. I finished up the paint on the main portion of mine in spring. Other than putting in my e-fan once it got hot, I haven't done anything since then but drive it, wheel it, and enjoy it.

Well I got tired of running out of gas a block from the gas station (its happened 5 times now.) So I finally finished my jerry can mount still needs paint but its functional now at least.

Hopefully I will remember to keep it full of at least a few gallons to get me to a station. I know I should probably dig into why the gauge is so inconsistant but since the dimple mod it hasnt been accurate.

Well its been a while since an update but I havent done anything to it pic worthy....been spending the remainder of summer on vacation with the kids and wife went to Mc Call Idaho, went shooting with my six year old and taught him to shoot the .22 magnum revolver he had a blast and even hit a bullseye.
. I even scrounged the junk yard for another project jeep and saw this commando and wanted it.
. Wanted way too much for it so I let it sit, needs a frame and drivetrain.
Rode the dirt bikes and tore up the local jeep trails.
....

Tonight I did a little more carb tuning since its been running really rich. I turned the air/idle screws in one more full turn and that seemed to help a bunch we shall see how she responds. I may just change out my plugs and see how its affecting them.

Went on a club run with some friends. This trail is a club favorite not difficult but lots of rocks to play on. The whole club consists of mainly jeeps except for a very well built yota. We had a guy tag along lookin to join the group driving a very aged ford f150 his clutch linkage broke early on in trail and I got to test my trail welding skills with a quarter and a hitch pin. Lets just say I will be carrying welding rod in my tool kit from now on. Enuff talk lets get to the pics!!
The lineup: airing down

Lessoned learned you cannot get a clutch linkage rod hot enough to get a solid weld

Mother natures RTI ramp. Who said SUA cant flex

The yota all most flopped.

Playing teeter totter

After our little welding repair work we tried on the trail yesterday I learned the proper way to do it. I think everyone should learn the proper technique since this may save your butt some day. Here is a little video I found to assistant me in it.
