Soooo.... I already made a revision and man does it air down even faster. I went and bought a 1/4" street elbow to go from the quick coupler to the gauge. Now all I have to is unscrew the valve and pshhhh then quick couple the gauge read my pressure then uncouple again and so on and so forth till I get the right pressure. Boom!! it works like a charm.

Your buddy's ton's must be full width right? Trying to figure what mine will look like. Happen to know what width rims and back space he is running?

I absolutely love the CJ grill!!!! I need to do that. Jeez I think I paid $2600 for a title!

Thanks!! Yeah I have always loved the CJ grill. You just can't find one nowadays without the tub rusted out.
Yeah he is full width, but his wheels suck everything in. Not sure on the back spacing but they don't make his wheels stick out that far. He runs 37x13.5x17 toyo Mt. For full width he isn't really that wide. He's really thinking of going with hummer beadlocks that's what he had on his last rig and loved it. I will check his wheels next time I'm over at his house. I go there everyday his wife watches my kids, but not this week my kids are on spring break.

Cool grooves man!

Question bout your grill. Looks like it follows the contour of the YJ hood, or did you have to rework somthing? I think that is sooo kick azz!

I had to use a CJ hood too. I picked up a '84 front clip, then I found an M38a1 grill in the weeds at a J yard. So for nostalgic reasons and the fact that the '84 grill was a rust bucket I swapped on the m38 grill it took a bit more work but was well worth it in the end.
This is what it would look like if you used a YJ hood.

I told the jeep it needs to start earning its keep around here if it wanted anymore mods, so I made it my workhorse today. Pulled my tools and some material to a house that is being sold in another town 20 miles away, to do some repairs so it will better its chances of selling. It pulled so nice and was able to maintain 65 mph no prob.

No Snow??? Jeez.....there is like 2 feet here yet, but raining like mad now.

Just wondering if a guy could take and cut off those little corner pieces from the YJ grill and french them in to the CJ grill so you could still use the YJ hood?

My fenders are gone, and DIYing tube fenders anyway so i could flow the fenders into the grill how ever.

Lots a pizzn around, but just looks cool.

I would just source a CJ hood. I did see one were a guy grafted the front of a CJ hood onto a YJ one since the CJ hood is about 1-2" shorter. You run into clearance problems with a six cyl. Its not too hard to make it work especially if you got the skills and tools to do it. It should be nothing for a guy that can build himself a new hand. Sweet work by the way.

Thanks. Necessity is the mother to all invention.

6cyl left yesterday to its new home. Going to increase HP the cheap way by dropping a V8 in. A CJ hood would probably fit the bill. No problems with the contour of the tub when swapped out?

Sounds like you got a good plan.
The CJ tub and YJ tub are virtually identical the only differences are some body mounts and the obvious dash changes. Other than that the contours are identical.

Yeah living in Wisconsin was a culture shock for me. I lived two blocks from Lambeau field. My Uncle has a place up in Iron Mt so we would escape every once and a while. Although yoopers take some gettin used to, lol.
