Silver Bullet XJ sport, from 24s to 33s

So after selling my 96 that I bought modded and it was a nightmare, I decided I wanted to start again fresh with a stock XJ. Bought this 01' in October of 2011. Bone stock minus the TWENTYFOUR inch wheels on it! So first mod was loose those!

Just testing her out stock before I started the mods. Turns out this is a 60th anniversary Edition I prob should have flipped on eBay before I started cutting it, lol

This guy parks next to me the first weekend I own, clearly it was inadequate

This was just suppose to be a mild build, BB and some lights really. So that is where I started.... (ended up being where I started wasting money changing and adding to the lift)

Craigslist score, 30" All Terrains and rims.

Hit the junkyard for new exhaust.

OEM shackles nearly peeled off they were so rusted. Ended up using the Generic lowering shackles from AutoZone for a 3.25" gain.

It was a northern truck, never realized how bad rust affects bolts until now.

You can see me leafs bending the wrong way. Didn't know how bad they were until the shackles were on.

Lights, rear lift and tires on.

How most of the parts removal went...

Front BB on, now made the rear look lower again due to saggy Leafs. Still looking pretty decent and much better then stock.

HID housings and ballasts installed, needed directing as they were spreading pretty bad

Thanks, have a bunch more pictures as I kind of doing this build thread after the thought. I always wanted to just never did. I scared the PO on the test drive as I ripped it up a sand hill to test the TC with the 24s on spinning all 4 rubber bands, lol

So I went back to the yard and pulled another set of XJ leafs to stack.

It looks raked so I got some new 3" coils and added to my BB. I actually cut the 2" spacer in 1/2 giving me a 4" lift up front. This Photo was taken in January 2012

Also went and pulled the front apart to replace the ball joints which were toast and replaced front U-joints at this time as well.

While adding the longer brake lines for the lift, the bleeder snaps off my Wheel cylinder, needing replacement. I dislike these costs very much

After that it was time for LCAS and Discos.

Finally got my Christmas present installed after the steering box spacer fell about and snapped a bolt. Went with the TCR HD spacer.

Fuel rail was really rusty, so I went back to the yard and grabbed a nice one off a Southern Jeep.

Went ahead and did the Neon 784 injectors at the same time.

With more lift it was Now it was time to up my tire game. Scored 31" Destinations on Gamblers off Craigslist.

Then the XJ need it's own parking space, so the 3rd space was added to the driveway.

My son helping my clean off the new tires for the SHow N SHine.

In April summer was rolling around soon and my son kept telling me he was hot, so had to bite the bullet and finally get that evap for the AC replaced, which meant pulling the seats and dash.

I keep flexing into my stock flares and eventually just ripped them off on the trail, and decided it was time for some flares, although I like the look of them off, I don't have much but mud around me and it makes a crazy mess.

So I ordered some Napier precision flares and let the grinding begin

Awesome XJ. Looks just about right to me. I'm definitely jealous. What's next?

Thanks, I am in the process of 8.25 to swap out with my D35, adding disc brakes and an Aussie locker to it. Here are some more pics trying to get the process caught up to date.
