I know the feeling too... But it looks like a cool build, and when it's finally back on the road you'll have something to be proud of. I'm jumping into stuff on mine that is way over my head, but it's just keep working along, and finding solutions.

Reading your thread got me motivated to bang out a list, and that got a bit scary.

Keep working at it, be patient, and it will come together in time!

Thanks man!

Yeah this was/is way over my head but like you said just keep plucking away and finding solutions. It will be worth it in the end. Luckily I have some local support to help me out when I hit speed bumps to!

Today I went to the JY and got a power steering pump and got it installed. I just need to wait for the local parts store to get my pressure line in. I removed the 5.9 power steering pump cooler though, just thought it was to much in a small space and it should be fine without it. Anyone else keep it or throw it?

After hooking up the power steering I got the serpentine belt installed and filled the engine with oil. kind of feels like things are moving along again. Oh and I removed the old crappy U-Joints from the front drive line. Gotta pick new ones up friday.

Quick pic, Theres tons more room with this one compared to the dodge one.

And I got my fuel pump! I have no idea how to wire this thing in or plum the fuel lines... Going to need a hand with this.

Overall pic of the engine. Nothing to special, yet.

Wel I got the high pressure line in today and hooked the rest of my power steering pump up. The line does sit super close to the pulley and it rubs against the steering rod. Im sure this will cause issues later on...

First off, that's a very neat install, good job! The other thing, converting to a V-8 for $1500 isn't all that bad. I hate to think how deep I am in what I thought was going to be a simple engine swap.
I can't wait to see the thing riding around...

Lookin good buddy. Yea the power steering hose is awfully close to the pulley but will be fine. Now the hose rubing on the steering shaft wont be, mine did the same all you need to do is slightly bend the hardline down close to the steering box towards the radiator. I needed to trim my radiator mount to clear the line now mine is about an inch away from the shaft.
I haven't done a total yet on my expenses but with all my problems I have had and with selling my 4.2 I'm about $500 out of pocket for my swap now
