Day 1 - Good bye to an old friend, White Jeep put back to stock except for the lift.

Day 1 - At home

Day 2 - Taking bumper off removing fog light housings and disconnected wiring for install in new bumper

Day 2 - Poison Spyder Brawler Light Bumper installed - Pic at OCC meeting at Kilroy's

Day 3 - Superwinch 12.5k Install - winch sitting on bumper picture a little blurry sry

Day 3 - Superwinch 12.5k Install - Engine compartment and routing, used some liquid tight to run the cables in to prevent abrasion. I had to notch the battery holder shell to run cable into the battery and they turned battery 90 degrees so the cable is short and has to run across top of battery

Day 3 - Superwinch 12.5k Install - Complete, used some RTV around the liquid tight plastic conduit and the battery cables to seal them up, dont want water inside.

Day 5 - SPIDERWEBSHADE JK4D TrailMesh

Day 7 - Rigid Industries - dually 2x2 light install

Day 7 - Rigid Industries - dually 2x2 light install

I installed my 2010 JKU Hard top on my 2012, everything fits well and is pretty tight, no wind noise and passed the hose spray test shot directly in the seals for good 5 mins all around, gonna leave it on until it rains a few times for a good real world test. All holes line up, 2 bolts front and 6 bolts rear, the last 2 rear bolt holes are a bit different in that one side of the notch is missing on the tub and you have to hold the clip/nut piece up until it threads, when removed the can be stored in the hardtop storage bin the back of the Jeep. I'll update this when it rains. I had this top left from my 2010 and hoping to save about $2400 for a new one or the 1600 for dual top group. I don't have the wiring in the 2012 to run the wiper or the hose for the fluid squirter in the back (yes its a technical term lol)

Disclaimer: I'm not recommending this to any and can't be held responsible when yours leaks or flies off going down the road ect. if you do the same thing. Just passing along information as found for the new 2012s.

Day 11 - 2010 MOPAR Hardtop installed on the 2012, no wiper power or squirty fluid(technical term)

Day 11 - 2010 MOPAR Hardtop installed on the 2012

Drilled holes for the bump stops, installed bump stops and springs, installed shock doubler brackets along with reinstalling the LCA skids and installed the shocks. Tomorrow I start the high steer kit set up. I already have the drag link removed. Still have to drill out the knuckle though for the 7/8 drop in piece, so I can install the flipped drag link.

http://www.quadratec.com/products/16315_6408.htm

They bring the shock mounts up about 1.5 inches and have built 3/16 skid to make smaller strong rock targets

Shock mounts cut off and painted to stop the rust

Driver Side

Passenger side

This morning both sides little better light
