Brackets, inserts, & tub rails are here and ready. Gerald is shipping the JJs with the tierod in a couple of days.

Once I get the tie rod all I need to do is drill out the driver's knuckle to 3/4", pop in the insert, & run a bead around it. Then I can flip the new tie rod. While I'm getting the welding done, it makes sense just to burn in the JJ on the passenger side at the same time.

I can't get pics uploaded since the computer has crapped out and I have to post from the ol' iPhone

Once the geek squad gets done with the computer I'll get some stuff loaded up!

After this past weekend, we both know your next project should be this: Performance Jeep Chrysler : Jeep Parts and Accessories PerformanceJeepChrysler.com 888-569-5228 Although that would mean no more Jeep Hardtop Work Benches....

True, very true

My ultimate tie-rod shipped today!!! It'll be nice to install & flip the driver's side.

Is it bad that I'm starting to price axle shafts, u-joints, balljoint, & unitbearing upgrades?

That was insane

I'm going to give the old tie-rod to my father-in-law. That way he can just buy a Currie draglink and have the whole setup.

I got the tub-rails installed today! So, making some progress. It's been crazy at work, plus moving in a couple of months, leaving the Navy, starting a new practice... Not a ton of Jeep time

Next project is working on the front end. I have quite a bit of leave I have to take over the next few weeks so as soon as I have some time off I'm pulling the front axle. Then I can do the JJ conversion on the housing, burn-in the new swaybar endlinks & drill out the driver's side knuckle so I can flip the new ultimate tie-rod.

Still no pics until the computer gets back from the shop (I hope this week!). Not fun posting with the phone.

Well I haven't posted here for awhile as it's been waaay too busy. I've been able to wrench a bit and the computer is back from the shop so I can post some pics.

I had a local weldor lined up to help me with the front axle, but that hasn't panned out. Good news is we're moving in 17 days and there's some JF guys in the KC area I hope to meet and get a referral to someone who can burn some metal.

Anyway, here's some updated pics. I updated the list at the start of the thread to make it current as well. It's also evolving to something much beyond what I anticipated, but I'm loving every minute of it!

New Tunes:

Close up of tub-rails, corners, and part of the tail lights:

A couple of driveway shots:

Getting that front axle taken care of is top priority now.

She'll be ready for those Missouri trails soon!

Glynn,

Email me or Wade some pictures of the Jeep. The corners and tub rails came out fantastic. The tub rails sure complete the the corner installation. I'd forgotten that you painted the corners.

Thanks,

Gerald

Sorry I missed you on that. I was in KC until last night getting things setup. We move next week!

The badlands isn't too far from KC and we have friends in Indy so Jodie and I plan on getting out there sometime. Although SMORR and Hannibal are a little closer now

You still owe me a badlands run as well sir.

::SELLING HALF OF MY JEEP::

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f33/?uid=152304

Rear Currie 4" coils - 190 shipped. (They've been sitting in the back of my Jeep for mock up but won't work out for me.)

Hornblasters Shocker S4 horn set with some extras $210 shipped. (It is not OBA, just an accessory for OBA)

"LCOG" isn't cheap and it certainly isn't easy. If you think so, you are doing it wrong. If you aren't willing to put in the effort, don't label your build "LCOG". You are just a cheap ******bag.

IndyORV- Dick and fart jokes, titties, throttle, flops, beer, tater balls, and good times.
