All the armor and the frame got some fresh paint. Next week I hope to start outboarding the rear shocks.

Since most of you that follow my build have me as a friend on Facebook...this may be a repeat for you. Put the ol' GMC to work today towing an F350 dually Powerstroke. My buddy blew a brakeline, and AAA said it would be almost 5 hours before a tow truck would be there. He asked if I could pick up his trailer and tow him back to the shop which would only take an hour.

If that's your tool box…. it's worth more than my jeep! And I hate you.

Not mine, however I have access to everything in it.....and everything is Snap-On. I'm sure there is easily over $300,000+ worth of tools in it.

So NOT worth the money, but I still want it and would buy it if I could!

Well the Jeep has a new home anyways, my friends family owns a very big company in Kalamazoo, and they pretty much gave my friends and I a barn to work on all of our toys.....I'm pretty lucky.

I might need to rent a corner of that barn for mine.

Finally found some time to start my next project....relocating the rear upper coil buckets. Haven't hacked them off yet, but got everything ready to start.

After doing some thinking, I realized that the frame side track bar mount may interfere with the coil when I move the bucket. I think I am going to cut off the oval part that is sticking out and weld a flat plate to it, and box it in slightly on the bottom. This may help the coil to miss the track bar mount.

For the longest time my parking brake wasn't working. I figured that one side had seized up on me. Now that I have everything torn apart, I realized that the cables had come disconnected at the rotors on BOTH sides Oh well, fixed now.

I also figure it's time for some rear brakes. I'm almost positive I have a warranty on the rears from Autozone.

Made some progress on the coil buckets today, I boxed in the track bar mount, and tomorrow I'll figure out how I want to mount the backside of the coil bucket to the frame.

On a more interesting note.....I have a pretty rare opportunity. My buddy is restoring a 24 valve cummins. He is using a gasser truck for body parts. This means that I have axles and a running 5.9L Magnum that is mine if I want it. I haven't done much research on a Magnum swap, but I have the time to do it. The funds aren't in my favor though. The engine and axles are free, but everything else I would have to purchase to mate it to the TJ. I watched Jason's Ugly Betty build, but I need to get more details before I jump the gun.
