I took point on a patrol one day and we took contact. First spray of rounds went right in front of my feet, the second spray hit my vest and my rifle, also the Marines arm standing next to me. The round went right thru my buffer rod. Certainly a sh***y day.

Unfortunately about 3 weeks after this I got peppered by shrapnel from a DFC (Direction fragmentation charge). The shrapnel wasn't as bad as what that bullet would have done

On a good note today, I got a new job! It's seasonal but could turn into year round. I'll be making more money than I ever did at Autozone. Plus I get to take the company truck home with me! haha

Thanks for your service and for sharing,it's sad how many people don't realize we have a "war" going on still I'm glad you made it back.
I love the jeep and have been watching for a while
I just got a 04 rubicon after having a yj for 14 yrs
And want to start building it now.
