Rubicon0311 Build

Well, I figure its time that I finally start one....I bought my Jeep about 4 years ago while I was in the Marines. I never did any mods to it while I was in and it wasn't until I was out over a year before anything started. I am starting this build so I can keep track of what I do to my rig. I am a craft beer guy so feel free to suggest some new brews to try.

My specs as of now:
4in Zone suspension lift
Rokmen rear upper adjustable control arms
Tom woods CV shaft
Smittybilt XRC8 winch
JCR rear daggar bumper
JCR Daggar series with stinger
315/75/16 BFG KM2's
Monstalined tub
Arched Metalcloak fenders

When I bought it to where it sits now.http://i1073.photobucket.com/albums/...psaed556ea.jpghttp://i1073.photobucket.com/albums/...ps6e9aa255.jpghttp://i1073.photobucket.com/albums/...ps241f4846.jpg

I was stationed on the East coast, while I was in so there was some wheeling in Maryland and Virginia. Maryland was Green Ridge state forest I believe and Virginia was the Shoe creek trail.

I finally got around to going to Uwharrie at one point, I didn't get many pics but I spent a whole weekend there and met up with a couple other Jeeps and they showed me around. After that I spent most of 2010 in Afghanistan....

So we will fast forward when I finally got the itch to start modding....the first mod was a Rough Country 2.5in lift. Not much but enough to make a difference. This was in 2011.

Before, after, a little flex shot, and a little bit of what I do in the summer. I also bought myself a daily driver....

Well another year went by and the 2.5in wasn't enough, so I bumped up to the Zone 4in with some 315/75/16 BFG Km2's

Install and after shot

Well I avoided doing the transfer case drop....that left me with vibes, so I ordered some rear upper adjustable control arms from Rokmen and a CV shaft from Tom Woods. Also installed a Smittybilt XRC8 Winch

At this point, I had always wanted arched Metalcloaks and I finally bit the bullet and bought them with the 6in flares. I went cheap and opted to paint them myself

I got a great deal on a JCR rear tire carrier, which is awesome because JCR is right out of Kalamazoo where I live. Painted that myself as well.

I finally got around to testing out my new lift and Metalcloaks, a buddy and I went to Bundy Hill the other weekend.

After that weekend West Michigan got about a foot of snow within a couple days. This is where the Jeep sits now.

It's time to chop that front bumper.

Rubicon0311 01-29-2013 05:22 PM

Right now I am working out a deal with Al to get a JCR stubby front bumper with a stinger
