Not much on the Jeep. Done a few little things but that's about it.

Friend got stuck so I had to get muddy to help him out. Stock Comanche.. Jerked it over. It was muddy and wet. Not a good mix for stock tires.

Didn't get any pics but this

Been really busy gigging so hopefully I can make a wheeling event soon

Have you had to use your rear D ring mounts yet? I'm interested to see what all you do to gusset/reinforce them!

Rotated tires, adjusted the brAke pedal push rod, greased up all joints, aligned the jeep, and made some cage additions today. I need to weld them in and repaint but they looks nice.

I am going to pick up some new shocks and lay off working on it. I am busy with music and have multiple gigs during the weekends so hopefully one day I'll wheel it, just not soon.

Been collecting parts the past few months. I'm going to cut out the shock towers(third time) and patch the frame and do hoops. Main reason is because I plan on stretching and entertaining CO's.

I have all the 4 link parts on the shelf but I need some more parts for the overhaul.

Front link parts
Brackets 3 link
CO's
Shock hoops
Some sort of front highline fender
Poly front cage kit

Tomorrow I am probably going to cut out the front BTF cage. Main reason is I can't get the windshield back farther and it is putting stress on the hard top. I also have a gap between the door and windshield. No bueno.

Once it gets warmer, I will pick up a WK diesel, which will be a tow rig for Jeep and my band trailer. Once I have a reliable DD I will do the overhaul.

I will probably reach out to a few people for some of the work. I may contact Mike about the cage, because I want it to be spot on and perfect.

For the suspension, not sure yet. I don't really have any experience with setting up COs so I will be looking for someone somewhat local.

My plan is to get the Jeep looking and driving great, with a small stretch, and still run 35's.

Buying parts a little at a time has made my wallet feel heavier and I kinda like the feeling I'm not blowing thousands at once.

Sold a few guitars so once I find a new one, the rest of the cash will be for the jeep.

Cheers!

Sounds like one heck of a plan! A well built stretched TJ on 35s and coil overs is pretty hard to beat!

Just do it right this time, take your time and make all the changes you feel it needs at the same time. Saves time and effort.
Good geometry and about a 101" wheelbase will make it a badass Jeep

Got the 170/60 shocks installed. Being that they were a lighter valving, I installed them without taking tires off and dropping the axle down.

I noticed a different and was quite happy. Could be lighter, but I think they will be perfect matched with the 255/60 fronts I'll get to tomorrow.

It's better, and with the hard top on, she drives very nice and comfy.

Okay, so I started thinking about a few things I need to fix right.

Rear shock towers
Rear frame- going back to more traditional frame with trailer hitch
Front cage windshield tie ins

I do not have a welder at the moment so I'm trying to get my hands on one.

I am buying a small enclosed trailer for band equipment which for around town gigs id like to use the jeep, since it is shorter and easier to fit around down town.

These mods will also get the jeep so I feel more comfortable selling it if need be. As much as I don't want to, I don't think I'll have time like I used to. Will my first EP scheduled to be finished around mid Feb, I won't have much time to mess with things, so hopefully I can get my hands on a welder and fix this ***** up to my liking.

I need to find someone to help work on the jeep local to me. I really just need a week and a welder. Rear frame work will happen first. Once that's finished the way I want, I will start moving to other things. As it sits, I couldn't sell... Which is a good and bad thing.
