I had a build thread for my 04 Rubicon but didnt really see the point in it since there was lots of discussion and not as much building as I liked.

Specs

04
5spd
NP-241 transfercase

Front axle
Rubi 44 with raised SB mounts, IR TR, Currie TB and Solid Diff cover

Rear Axle
Rubi 44 Rock Krawler Truss, custom raised lower mounts

Outboarded 12in Blistiens in the rear/ RC 2.0s in front

RCI 2162 fuel cell
RK 4link with beefed lower mounts
BTF Front cage
35 Goodyear Mtr/K's
Custom front bumper
Besrk DIY bumper with Swingout

OBA
And some other things Im forgetting.

Well basically this build is with speed, stability, and DDing in mind. Currently, the rear bumper is for sale and front bumper. I dont need the overhang and the weight needs to be cut down. I recently started pushing trails faster and can see how well the suspension is working, but seeing areas in which need to be addressed. For the build the rear stretch wont happen for awhile because i recently raised lower mounts and it help my AS out so Im happy with it (Today). Here is what will be happening in the next month. Losing the front and rear bumper will cut a chunk of weight. And with the spare in the cab, the weight will be over the axle not overhanging off the rear.

New Rokman/or Custom style rear xmember bumper
New slim front custom bumper with grill hoop
Aluminum Sliders
Aluminum Corners
Tailgate skin
Front antirock
Finish rear cage and mount spare in the rear
New spare wheel (on its way)
Some kind of Custom tube highlines, probably going to build some
Ten-factory shafts

This is the list that I would like to accomplish this summer. I would like to give the A class ECORS a shot to see if I like it, but i need to get it ready for that. I have a bunch of crap I need to sell, bumpers, rear seat, old tops and frame, possibly hard top, old guitars and seat belts. That will be posted in classifieds when i get around to it. I would like to spend as little of my money as possible hoping to get most funded by stuff for sale. The corners will bite and tube for cage and stuff.

Any recommendations would be appreciated. And stay tuned, as soon as the rear bumper is gone its time for some

Got a stick of 1.75x.120 DOM today. I'll be doing the rear additions when I get a free weekend. I've been at the river and fishing a lot recently, I have to many hobbies, and fishing is up there and it's been good so well see when that dies down.

B to c pillars and spreaders overhead and tie ins.

All rear additions are cut, fitted, and ready to tack. Need to get to the welder.

I'm really questioning my bumper ideas. I really would like something that is simple like Rokman rear. Also, the front I want a simple, low pro, and something a winch, grill hoop, and maybe lights. I can't find anything simple and easy. At this point, I'm gunna buy. I don't feel like making the front, unless I don't find anything I like for a reasonable offer.

Rear bumper is still for sale.

New rear bumper work and skid welding will start Saturday unless something comes up, expect pics. Well since no one is following, I'll post up some.

Before those exhaust bolts frame will be cut off and D.O.M. will go in place, high clearance, ultra lightweight, and slick

Gunna use a Kore 4x4 tube d-ring mount and weld It into the straight tube going out and then a straight piece will be the bumper, it will be light, ultra high clearance , and different.

Well guys, buyer flaked on bumper. It's bull****. This bumper is solid and I would have killed to pay the price for it when I wanted one.

Frame is on hold until it sells.. Plus I bought a new toy tonight

Buyer in line for bumper. I'm problems with getting my buds welder. He is so unreliable. I sold out of the thing so I can't do much.

Going to tack it all with my flux mig and go to a friends shop and tig it.

Okay fellas small update. Bumper is SOLD! Guy with a CJ is going to fab it on and mount a 42 on it. After some thinking, weighing and figuring its gunna work.

Now I will have a nice chunk of change for the rear which will include some slick stuff. Drop down tire mount, ultra high *** clearance bumper tube, kore 4x4 tube chassis d ring mounts, new coils. The weight savings I can't even describe how happy I will be. A whopping 250 pounds is being shed of it's ***.

Stay tuned

O and I picked up my old friend.

I love how a TJ / LJ looks with the minimalist rear treatment . I am curious to see how your drop down carrier turns out .

Have fun with notching and bending

Got the new crossmember burned in. It's so light, that new coils are already bought haha. Did some cage work, ran out of wire. This took about 3 hours. Critique away.

Kore 4x4 order in
Jeep tubes order in

Please dont say anything about the tub being so exposed, I don't care
