Well I finally got all of my parts in yesterday so today after I got home from work we got to it. Out with the old.

Check that hole out!

Here is the new.

In it goes.

I didn't know where the rubber washers that were included went other than in the mounting of the radiator, so I put them between the radiator and the grill.
Like this.

On the bottom passenger side of the radiator it seems like there is a welded nut missing because when I tried to mount my fan this was the only hole that didn't have a nut. Everything else lined up great though, Drake did a really good job.

This is what we did to finish the fan.

Here is her first drink!

There it is all shiney!

This isn't the end. I have lots of more things I want to do like putting the jeep on a diet with new aluminum armor and some day it's getting a diesel swap. Stay tuned for that.

Thermostat $12.99
Radiator Cap $6.99
Both from O'reilly's

Has anyone cut the bed out of a TJ and replaced it with an access panel to get to the fuel tank? Does anyone have pictures and a walk through?

I noticed the back of the jeep was looking a bit rough so I decided to put some more liner down and plug some holes.

I had patched the holes with RTV but that didn't stick to the Hurculiner very well so I decided to patche them with rivets.

So after grinding out all of the holes and loose rubber, I washed the bed really well with a pretty aggressive cleaner.

After that I primed all of the bare metal with grey primer.

Rivets in.

Finally I laid down a fresh coat of Hurculiner. I had just enough left from the first time to redo the bed of the jeep.

Today I'm going to be putting in some lights. I took one set out to paint and I'm adding a set on my light bar.

Cousin got to keep the LJ, but I doubt I'll ever be welcomed over at his parents house again haha.... Unless it's a Nissan 95 240sx they'll hate it... Funny thing was his insurance from a 90 Chevy Caprice (liability only) to an 06 Jeep Wrangler LJ (full coverage) only went up 35.00!!!

His LJ is really nice, but it needs new shocks, and a set of matching lug nuts. Other than that it's in really good shape. Everything works, 4WD feels crisp like it's never been used, and it even has new front brake pads.

Lol, he went from a v8 to an i6. That's why the insurance went down. I'm sure he'll be over at the house quite often now to ask questions. Just don't let him jump the gun and go do a bunch of junk mods right off the bat. Saw the pictures of the lake, looks like everyone had a great time out there. I never did get called out.

Oh man so you could have come out huh?? That sucks!! Yeah he isn't going to mod it anytime soon. Just shocks, and some interior stuff no plans on lifts or anything. It really runs good I had it over here this evening.

He let me swap out my 05 seats for his 06 seats, I fixed his tow hooks (they were on backwards), I removed the 3rd tail light since his 32 inch spare was basically blocking it already lol. Next are some matching lug nuts, some 5 1/4 speaker brackets for the front, and he wants to install his stereo vs the one that came with it.

The Hummer H3 Alpha was less on insurance vs my F150 which I happy about!!

I'm going to start tracking my fuel mileage on here to see if I can get any improvements from any of my mods.

7/11/13
228.2 miles / 14.7 gal = 15.52 mpg

7/18/13
210.2 miles / 14.0 gal = 15.01 mpg
