Got back from Uwharrie yesterday. Had a blast as always. Great atmosphere, friends and weather made for one hell of a trip. Did mostly all the trails out there this time. was a little disappointed that a good bit of the rocky mountain loop was closed off including the section of Kodiak rock due to some environmental issues. Did do Daniel sunday morning before we left and didn't leave it un-scaved. both me and chase (cherokeecrawler) both had some damage, his more then mine. I just picked a bad line right after the first ledge putting my rear end into the wall and crushing my taillight. His going up the third hill he tried to up the far right side and unloaded is driver side leaf pack bending the main one, Im quite surprised it didn't break. Got the shackle back where it was suppose to be and he drove it out, so not too bad. Here are some of the pictures from the trip.. Since there is a lot I will post the pics from the damage in separate post.

Okay, So the damage.

Duct tape fix. As for the funky color, we made the rule that if anyone broke anything and had to use to duct tape to hold it together they had to use the funky tape to intensify the ride of shame.

All fixed, Thankfully I still had one from the my donor XJ I had for the Comanche.

The scrapes and the small dent in my hatch after I rinsed the mud off.

And Chase's leaf spring problem

Okay, so as of now I'm going to start slowing down on the Jeep. Need to start saving for other things. So I have a few main things in mind for it before I call it quits on upgrades for awhile. First off is a cage. Ive been looking at the Rock Hard bolt in cage and was planning on actually welding the joints together for more strength. I want to go with an interior cage to try and keep the outside as clean as possible. Second would be the HP44. I'll probably end up shorten it a little and just run spacers in the rear. But won't do that till I start breaking the HP30. Third is some rear quarter guards, probably going with the JCR with taillight housings. Then the upgrades will come to a crawl for awhile. All of this will wait till after I get the Comanche finished and possibly sold..

How about a lot embarrassing?

This stuff will make you really think twice about breaking anything.
