I have been wanting to start a build thread on here for a while now. I am starting my thread somewhat late into my build but I'll catch everyone up. Alright so here it goes. This is my second car. I had a 2005 Chevy Avalanche 2WD that was a graduation present from my parents for graduating at 16. I wanted a 4x4 so I talked to my parents and for too many reasons to mention they let me sale it without them holding it against me that I had only had the avalanche for 9 months before selling it. I found someone to pay good money for it and bought this 2001 Cherokee Sport. Luckily for me the Cherokee I ended up getting, already had a 3" BDS Suspension lift kit, a roof rack, a pair of Hellas and Rubicon/Moab 16 rims, other than that fully stock

The third day I had her.

2/5/2010: First Upgrade - Putting a new sound system in it. I am a person who loves music and could not live with the crappy stock sound system so the second day i had my cherokee i went on a sound system shopping spree. Bought a Kenwood Head Unit, Alpine speakers for the front/rear and a Rockford 10" sub and amp.

3/5/2010: My next add-on was a CB-Radio. I decided to mount it in the head board between the sun visors. Mounting it there posed a problem because I didn't want to accidently put a hole in my roof but at the same time the screws that I was using didn't hold it in the head liner at all, So I decided to use toggle bolts to hold it in and so far they have held up to the constant shaking when off roading. For my antenna I used a normal 6 foot whip from radioshack that i cut down to about 4 feet that is mounted to my roof rack.

4/15/2010: I had trouble with my alternator when I went out wheelin one day, so started looking into some kind of skid plate or splash guard to try to keep the mud and water out. I was rolling around in a junk yard one day looking for one of the stock splash guards for my cherokee when I found a front skid plate, for $15 I didn't think it was so bad. after a little paint job it looked like new.

6/13/2010: Took my front bumper ends off. When I bought my jeep the paint on the front bumper was starting to flake off so I painted it black. I plan to put a winch bumper soon.

7/13/2010: Who ever owned the Jeep before me added a 3" front 2.5" rear lift kit. but sense I put the bigger tires on my Jeep that 2.5" of lift in the rear was not working out so I installed a 1.5" Rubicon Express block in the rear replacing the half inch block that was already there, lifting the rear an inch giving me a total of 3.5" in the rear. I also added a 3/4" Rubicon Express coil spring spacer in the front to kind of balance it out giving me a total of 3.75" in the front. Not sure if you can really tell that the block is installed in these pics or any I seem to take but I can tell in person. The reason for the mudd is I wanted to see if the block was stopping the reason I bought it in the first place and that was tearing off my fender flares in the rear. Unfortunately they didn't help to much, they gave me a little more room to flex but didn't fix the problem but what the hell it looks better now and I had fun getting her dirty!!!

8/5/2010: Did some fender trimming, getting ready for some bigger tires. this is not totally finished, i plan to bed line the lip and the bottom half on the car.

10/15/2010: Painted the bottom part of my Jeep today with spray on bed liner as well as the entry guards. I think it turned out pretty good. Still haven't got around to trimming the front fenders.

10/29/2010: Finally got around to doing the front fenders. As like always not completely finished. still needs a little more touch up to look factory.

I like that flashlight mount. nice build so far.
