Very nicely done. Do you have any plans for the rear bumper?

No not right now. Haven't found one that suits me yet. Plus don't really see the point in one right now... To much else more important to spend money on lol I'll probably end up with one late on though

Well found a deal I couldn't pass up today. Really didn't want to buy it but would have beat myself up if I didn't. Dana 60 out of a 73 Dodge w200, 4.88s and Lockrite. I plan on having it converted to semi float and cut down to 65" wms to match the HP44. Probably won't touch it till the spring when Im more ready to take on another axle swap..

Ordered my new springs today.. Should have them by the end of the week and on soon after that. Should be sitting around 5.5-5.75" of lift which is where I've wanted it since the beginning. Was over at the foothills and now have a new decision to make. I measured my 60 today and it measures out to around 65" WMS so it already matches my HP44. I can either convert the HP44 to 8 lug or convert the 60 to 5 lug. Converting the 44 to 8 lug will be the cheaper option since the 60 is already geared and locked. I'm just not sure I want 8 lug. If I convert the 60 to 5 lug I'd be using f150 8.8 rear brakes so would have a factory like working parking brake and discs.. I don't know still have a lot of thinking and saving todo. What do y'all think would be the better option?

New springs came yesterday.. Need to get a bushing kit. Should have them on this weekend! Still debating if I even mess with the front or not. Will see how it sits when I replace the springs and go from there.

This I think would be more of a question, do you have 8 lug wheels handy? Or would you have to buy some? I like 5 lug wheels but those are big axles! That's just my .02

I'm not too worried about the wheels right now.. I can easily find a set on Craigslist and was planning on going to 17s anyway with 37s. The only problem is if I go 8 lug I'll have to get a set of tires aswell because it will be hard finding a set of 8 lug 15s to use my tires.. I'm most likely going to see what kind of money I have to work with when I do the swap.. I mean it most likely will cost about the same regardless because the money it will take to semi float the 60 and run 5 lug will probably cost the same to find a set of 8 lug wheels and 35s or 37s on Craigslist.

Sounds about right! You do have a lot in your hands there! Can't wait to see what you do with it either way it goes!

Got the springs on today. They sit a little higher then I had hoped. Sits about the same as the old springs. Hope they will settle out some. Haven't really drove it around to really get a feel for them yet.

Awe inspiring job on your XJ, I love taking old cars and building them to the potential that only passion and vision could inspire. It is clear that you possess both qualities in your build.

Well its been a little while since I've posted on here last. A few things have happened since. To start me and some guys from Clemson off road went to Uwharrie on the last weekend of the season. Drove up in the rain, wheeled all day in the rain and then camped in the rain. Had an absolute blast! Had to hit everything with a little bit of speed or you weren't making it up. Did however loose my sway bar bolt on the drive up so as of now I'm sway barless. After that weekend I flew and met my parents up in New York for a few days before Christmas (They were coming home for the holidays from Saudi and stopped over in NY). On the day we we're suppose to fly back (The 23rd). I apparently drew the short straw unwillingly and was kicked from the already overbooked flight. Well after some discussion and some *** showing. I was booked on the later Charlotte flight and had a check for 3 times the ticket price in my wallet.. MORE JEEP PARTS RIGHT?!?!? Finally made it home 3am Christmas Eve. The weekend after Christmas we went on our annual Christmas Gulches trip. Unfortunately Weather kept us from camping. so we just went for the day. I did get some videos and will post them as soon as I can... The biggest news of this post is the Jeep is no longer the DD and has been moved to a total streetable trail rig! Did that DD/Tow Rig mod today with an 07 Ram 2500 5.9L Cummins.. Now just need to buy a trailer lol
