It may have been asked already, but just out of curiosity what did you do about where the corner guard ends in the front and leaves a gap between itself and the rocker guard?

Look closer. There is no gap whatsoever.

It's the widely accepted perfect ratio for the 4.0/5 speed/35's. So, I love it.

i've got the 2.5/5-speed/35's... and i'm installing my long arm lift this weekend, and regearing to 4.88 next weekend. i really hope i can MAINTAIN 70mph on the hwy with that set up. (mpg is not a concern of mine, but i want hwy speed)

No gap underneath the flare either. I'll get pictures.

As for the gearing question, maintaining 70 with the 4 banger is wishful thinking. I could be wrong, though.

i can do it now with 35's and 4.10's... just not on ANY degree of incline... i just wanna be able to hold 70 and not feel like i'm breaking a sweat.

Thanks man.

I suppose I shouldn't forget some of the 'little' things I'd like to do up front:
D30 Ballistic truss
Currie JJ kit up front
Make some C gussets from the extra steel we have laying around
Make some inner tub supports for the rocker guards out of the extra steel

Did you check the Rokmen site? I have the inner tub rocker reinforcements for my sliders. They work great and very easy to install.

About the Hood, Are you going to use factory latches or Pins? You know what I am talking about.

Well, the starter finally bit the dust last night. I pulled it apart and found packed mud inside the main body. The main magnetic copper conductor thing was dinged up and trashed. I've been having starter issues off and on for about a year and decided this one wasn't worth saving. So to Autozone I went with the POS core. I purchased the lifetime warranty starter and was really pissed about having to drop $119 until they pulled that beautiful unit out of the box.....

My God, I didn't think a starter could look so sexy. It's the most powerful sounding starter I've ever heard. That is all.
