There will be less joint flexibility available before the barrel of the joint contacts the mounting bracket but on an arm with these joints on both ends it would not be an issue at all. That's the only thing I can think of. One possible downfall if you had clevite on one end.

Hey Imped. At one point you mentioned if you did it again you would put a Shorty SYE instead of the standard. Is that still true today even after the stretch?

Yep, definitely. I have a regular tail housing but every time I install a shorty I get jealous. Maybe one of these days I'll pick one up.
