If you plan a windrock trip around the 4th I'd be down to ride. I want to go back pretty bad.

That picture is literally 98% bad-a**. The only non-awesome portions of it are foliage-related.

The GF and I went up to Michigan to pick up a few things this weekend, including the Ruffstuff 9" housing and some bar stools she bought on eBay. We also picked up a little 96 Ski Nautique 196 while we were up there.....it's exactly what I was looking for and the price was right so we towed it home.

With that said, since I no longer need the FF9 housing, it is for sale. $750 will take it. Brand new still in the wrapping.

...right when I started thinking about building some 9" stuff down the road. Curse you.

Maybe you'd like to hear the awesomeness then.....

Massive 3.5" x .375" tubes

4140 chromolly 14b spindles (strongest available)

70" WMS-WMS when used with standard 14b hubs or just a hair under 68" when used with Solid hubs.....plenty of room for ORI's or CO's while still being able to run 4-5" of backspacing.

I've got no problem holding onto this thing......it makes for a beautiful garage ornament and would be perfect for a future TJ/buggy build. But I'd sure like to see it get used since it'll be a while before I'll need it.

That's a hell of a housing; I was thinking on a more basic 9" for my completely moderate needs...but you're correct in that it would be perfect for a buggy. A big buggy.

No, the widths are too different. It would have to be about 3" narrower. It's such an awesome housing but JK axles are the plan.

Nah, it's not too crazy for a TJ. Lightweight, very strong. The housing can be built as mild or as crazy as the owner desires--Ford nodular 3rd member or Tru Hi9, etc. I'm really impartial on selling it vs. keeping it. I'll be glad to do both.

I really need to do some more research on the 9"; it seems like a great option for a TJ axle, and it should be absolutely bomb-proof in my circumstances.

It sure seemed bombproof when I was out in the garage a bit ago trying to get things done. It kept distracting me.
