This hit the PBB classifieds this morning and by lunch time I had it finalized. All along, the plan was to set up my 44 to hold up very well to 37's until it's time to bolt in its replacement.

This is the replacement:

Ruffstuff 9" housing with GM FF14 bolt spindles. I didn't plan on doing this so soon, especially after spending the coin to build the 44 back up. But the price was very good and this is essentially the axle I wanted to build in the future. I'll have it in my possession to start building by mid-April but don't expect anything fast. This will be a slow axle build and I'll start thinking about the front in fall or winter.

Well at least you will never have to mess with the rear again. Nice purchase.

You will love that axle!! Guy in my 4x4 club has one and has beat on it like it owns him money. It's still going strong after a year under his TJ on 36s

I guess I'm not too familiar with ton stuff. Will stock 14 bolt shafts fit with a 35 spline 9" carrier? Or will there be a different bolt pattern?

What are your thoughts? Will your plans change depending on what front axle you find to match it?

Keep it up!

Mail crawling.
