Still deciding on the course of action for the suspension. I want to make the money I spend go as far as possible so I'm considering a couple different options right now--the original mid arm plan or what I like to call a "modified short arm", which I'll discuss later if I go that route. Both look fantastic on paper and would work very well. Going with the mod short arm would allow me to put the savings (wouldn't need to build lowers or buy the combo bracket) toward a cage.

Lol its not cool. It's just different. Haha

With Smoke, an now gribbles doing it, it's old news. I think he should build a hover suspension.

Rear Currie 4" coils - 190 shipped. (They've been sitting in the back of my Jeep for mock up but won't work out for me.)

Hornblasters Shocker S4 horn set with some extras $210 shipped. (It is not OBA, just an accessory for OBA)

"LCOG" isn't cheap and it certainly isn't easy. If you think so, you are doing it wrong. If you aren't willing to put in the effort, don't label your build "LCOG". You are just a cheap ******bag.

that would be sweet. with a big *** fan on the back so he can go across water and everything. Just like an LCAC - except, flexier?

Fed tax return was in the mailbox when I got home from working on James's rig tonight. Golly gee, time to order some parts.

I'm scrapping the mid arm because I want to keep the link mounts tucked up close to the tire. I like the tires, not the mounts, to hit the rocks. When I go to a longer wheelbase, I'll switch to longer arms with minimal wasted material and $$ from this build portion. Until then, this will work BEST for my current wheelbase and terrain I like to play in. Plus, the savings will go toward a cage and perhaps some front axle shafts.....

Here's the plan:

Poly high clearance lower frame mounts:

Poly upper frame mounts:

Upper arm materials:

1.75x.120 wall DOM

7/8 heims for the axle end

2.5" 1.25" shank JJ for the frame end

Uppers will be straight triangulated. Lowers will be current Currie arms with redone mounts at both ends (duh) to flatten and tuck them up as much as possible. According to the calc, it will work GREAT.

Thanks Kevin, but unfortunately that only makes up a small percentage of the total cost.
