Looking damn good man!! Are you planning on high lining rear to match the front?
I've got the rear set up for ~4.5" of up travel so it would be mostly for aesthetics, even though a little more tuck space would be nice. Aesthetically, I think it looks fine as is since I'm a big fan of plastic flares, especially on the rear. I've got my eyes on a set of highline plastic flares but I'm not sure if they're available to the public.
Do you find that top easier to put up/down then the stocker. My wife will need a new one before long. She gets the stocker up and down but strugles at times with the over the door clips, once streched they are a pita on her top to remove.
Get wheelin that thing man! Toys for tots Saturday @ the badlands. I'm buttoning up mine to make it. As for the top, I love it. It fits a lot tighter to the Jeep than the stocker and there's no frame to mess with. It's pretty quiet, looks awesome, and the price kicks ***. It's not a top that folds down and folds up, though. With the windows out, it's a safari top. If you want to remove the safari skin, it takes about 5 minutes. To put it back on, it takes about 10 minutes + the time to put the windows back in. I much prefer running a safari in the summer vs. topless so it works great for me. I don't think there's a better soft top out there. Feel free to come check mine out if you want.
And cut up all that new Savvy aluminum?
The "Hi-flare" aluminum rear tube fenders from GenRight would look sweet and would compliment the front nicely IMO.
They would look good, you're right. I'd like to stick with the flexible plastic flares for the time being.
You have a pretty nice jeep, I think i've seen you at the badlands a few times.
Well come up and say hi. I'll be there Saturday.
Damn dude, You Jeep is So Sexy.
Thanks man, gotta love Rustoleum.
That is one sexy Jeep. So are you going to paint the rest of the Jeep flat or semigloss to match all of the armor?
What, you don't like the Rustoleum/gloss combo?
I'm thinking about adding a plate in front of the doors to reinforce the tub, which will take care of most of the Jeep. Then it's only the hood, cowl, and windshield frame, which will stay like they are until they look bad enough to paint. I'm not going to flat black the full doors but I sure wouldn't mind finding a set of hard half doors (any color) with uppers. I would definitely sand those down and rattle can them. They would be perfect for winter wheeling....driving to the trails enclosed and wheeling open.
it just keeps getting better and better, you have my role model jeep, sooner or later i'll get there.
Thanks man. It looks like you have a pretty nice setup going on.
I knew one of you indy boys would buy those
It looks so SICK!!!!
He's just looking but I hope he gets them.
Don't count on it man. That's a LOT of money (even though it's a great deal).
