And cut up all that new Savvy aluminum?

The "Hi-flare" aluminum rear tube fenders from GenRight would look sweet and would compliment the front nicely IMO.

That is one sexy Jeep. So are you going to paint the rest of the Jeep flat or semigloss to match all of the armor?

I've got the rear set up for ~4.5" of up travel so it would be mostly for aesthetics, even though a little more tuck space would be nice. Aesthetically, I think it looks fine as is since I'm a big fan of plastic flares, especially on the rear. I've got my eyes on a set of highline plastic flares but I'm not sure if they're available to the public.

Get wheelin that thing man! Toys for tots Saturday @ the badlands. I'm buttoning up mine to make it. As for the top, I love it. It fits a lot tighter to the Jeep than the stocker and there's no frame to mess with. It's pretty quiet, looks awesome, and the price kicks ***. It's not a top that folds down and folds up, though. With the windows out, it's a safari top. If you want to remove the safari skin, it takes about 5 minutes. To put it back on, it takes about 10 minutes + the time to put the windows back in. I much prefer running a safari in the summer vs. topless so it works great for me. I don't think there's a better soft top out there. Feel free to come check mine out if you want.

They would look good, you're right. I'd like to stick with the flexible plastic flares for the time being.

What, you don't like the Rustoleum/gloss combo? I'm thinking about adding a plate in front of the doors to reinforce the tub, which will take care of most of the Jeep. Then it's only the hood, cowl, and windshield frame, which will stay like they are until they look bad enough to paint. I'm not going to flat black the full doors but I sure wouldn't mind finding a set of hard half doors (any color) with uppers. I would definitely sand those down and rattle can them. They would be perfect for winter wheeling....driving to the trails enclosed and wheeling open.

Don't count on it man. That's a LOT of money (even though it's a great deal).

Understandable. I wouldn't have them high on my list of priorities either. Like you said, your satisfied with your current shock setup and uptravel so any gains in clearance would be merely aesthetic. Although these mysterious Hi-line plastic flares sound interesting...

I found a new Dynomax super turbo muffler (2.25" C/O) on ebay for $20 the other day so I ordered it. I got it and a tailpipe bent up and installed today and WOW, it's so much nicer than running no muffler. That was nice for a while but it got old quick. My engine sounds nice and smooth again and I can hear the tires and radio. I'll never try to make the tractor motor sound cool again. For anyone that wants a QUIET muffler that's ever so slightly rumblier at idle than the stock muffler, check this one out. It's smaller than stock but is the best option for high flow/low volume IMO.
