Also put in my 703 injectors Ive been putting off forever. They all went in well and it seems to run a bit better. We'll see what happens. Hopefully wont have any issues down the road...

Even though I'm a WJ man I'm lovin your build thread. You younger guys with shops and welders and cutters and **** piss me off. I don't have ANY of that crap. I have the skills, but not the gear...sucks. Nice rig, though!

See, 4x4's are a brand new thing for me. Growing up my dad had a fully restored 58 Edsel and I had a few old cars (a 51 Chevy, 49 Chevy, then a 65 Corvair I restored)...and we did all of our work with hand tools. We never had an air compressor...EVER. All of the work we did on our regular drivers and our vintage stuff was all hammers and hand tools, which sucked but it really made me appreciate the work.

Now I'm on my own, married with kids, etc...and I've got a lot of nice hand tools of my own (actually, I have a lot of air tools too...) but again, NO compressor. It sucks. No band saw, no welder... nothin.

So when I see build thread after build thread where guys have fabbed up bumpers and winch mounts and tire carriers and roof racks...it makes me feel like ****!

I'm just happy with my tiny (oh, about 2 1/2 inches) lift... Next year I'll get some D44/D30 3.73's with vari-loc out back and open in front...

I'm going to borrow a 110 welder from a friend of mine and fab a roof rack, but I don't think it'll be able to do much more. My brother in law is a welder with all the tools at his disposal but he's all the way in NC so that doesn't help me much..

I need to make some wheeling friends in Topeka that have this stuff!

TJ FILL BEZEL

I had to take off the inside plastic in order to get to the two bolts that held the old flapper cover on. It was a handful of screws and some pop in clips that held it. Not too hard to remove
