The Rhino

Finally starting my own build thread for my rig. Bought her last year. 1999 XJ 4.0L came sitting on 5 inches of lift with 35x14.5 super swampers. KC light bar, fender flares, locked in the front and rear, and the stinger front bumper.

First thing I did was take off the 35x14.5 superswampers and put on some 33x12.5 all terrains

Got a little distracted with the toys so didn't have much time or money to do much else for a while

Next, tried wiring the horns up. Found out the clockspring was bad. Quick fix and now have cruise control

Wasn't fun trying to figure out where exactly the problem was though...

Then decided, I'd like to take my doors off to. Didn't do the back doors, but there's still time.

I remember The Kitchen build. Good to see it back and continuing to evolve. What does the future hold for The Rhino?

I want to move the speakers out of the doors so that I have sound when the doors are off. I want to fix/tear out the headliner. I desperately need rock rails. I want to bring the light bar closer to the roof and put a tire carrier on the back. Snorkel may come in somewhere down the road.

Nice! I drove through those same hills and even more a three hours WNW of you for four years through college. Tore up quite a bit of trail in a 93 sport two door with 4.0 manual. Man, what a fun time! Just watch out for the ladies there through Richmond... they look good and WILL get you in trouble! Don't ask how I know.

Thanks! And that sounds awesome. I'd love a manual but I have a mustang that I work on to so a transmission swap is a long way off. And oh yes they are trouble

Was on my way to Shoe Creek and the engine overheated. Most likely a clogged radiator. Pulling that out today and replacing it. Probably about due for a new water pump and thermostat so ill just knock everything out so I won't have to worry about it again
